This is Colorado's old west at its best. With a decidedly "game" menu of elk, beef and the famous Rocky Mountain oysters, the Fort is more than dinner--it's an experience. The food is excellent and varied (even non-meat eaters can find a yummy dish) and the ambiance historical. (It really is a replica of an old fort.) The restaurant has a center courtyard complete with bonfire and tepee (good for the kids to keep entertained--in fact, the Fort is very kid-friendly). A mountain man strolls among the tables, greeting guests and beating the drum for birthday and other celebrations. You'll definitely leave there with your belly full and your spirits raised!
