For a truly unique dining experience, one must try The Fort. Built to look like Bent’s Fort, the restaurant serves traditional food of the Old West: elk, buffalo, and similar game animals, as well as dishes you won’t find elsewhere. The prices reflect the fine dining experience as well as the uniqueness of the restaurant, but believe me – it’s worth it! A night at The Fort will be an experience you’ll never forget!

This is Colorado's old west at its best. With a decidedly "game" menu of elk, beef and the famous Rocky Mountain oysters, the Fort is more than dinner--it's an experience. The food is excellent and varied (even non-meat eaters can find a yummy dish) and the ambiance historical. (It really is a replica of an old fort.)
The restaurant has a center courtyard complete with bonfire and tepee (good for the kids to keep entertained--in fact, the Fort is very kid-friendly). A mountain man strolls among the tables, greeting guests and beating the drum for birthday and other celebrations. You'll definitely leave there with your belly full and your spirits raised!

This restaurant is the ideal place for a romantic evening. It offers a multiple course meal that will tempt every taste you have. You can enjoy a great bottle of wine and a delectable dessert to top the night off. If you've never tried a buffalo meal, this is the place to experiment, the chef's have really outdone themselves. This also sits in the foothills with a georgeous view...Delicious!!
