I'm not a picky person. I don't complain about much. I am generally easy to please. I recently had the worst service I have ever had anywhere at the Blue Cow.
We ordered a few grilled sandwiches to go. Nothing complicated or difficult about that. After waiting nearly 30 mins, we asked about our order and were assured it would be coming out 'soon'. We asked a few more times over the next half hour and were told it was on the grill and we would have it soon. Finally, after an hour of waiting, we gave up and asked for a refund, only to get attitude from the person waiting on us. Turns out our order was never even placed with the kitchen. No apologies from anyone, only attitude. We waited over an hour for a 'to-go' order which never came. Not a friendly place - stay away.

The blue cow serves you great ice cream. Nestled in the humble town of Morrison, you can't go wrong, they have just as many choices as the bigger chains and you are supporting local business!

Stopped in , not too busy there were a couple open tables and no wait. We sat at the counter. The waitress ignored us. Couldn't even bother to give us menus or water and tell us she would be back. After at least 10 minutes another guy asks us what we want to drink so we order shakes. They finally came and were good, but still no order for our food. I asked him if we could order and he said all snotty-like: "I'm getting to you." All we wanted were fries, for pete's sake--how hard is that? FINALLY took our order. A full 15 minutes later NO FRIES. We got up and when I went to pay the bill some guy gave ME a hard time for wasting the fries! What a (blank)!! He must have been the owner because no employee like that would be there for long. We now know--do not go to place that has so many tourists who never come back that they don't give a darn whether or not they have repeat customers. Should be renamed the Blue Cow PIE. If I could give it a no stars rating I would.

During my first visit this restaurant had tasty green chilie and wonderful home fries for breakfast. But I ordered their "Hash 'n Eggs" on my second visit and my plate arrived with deli slices of corned beef wrapped around some fried potatoes and sprinkled with sauteed peppers and onions. The eggs, which I ordered "over medium" were really just basted and too runny for my taste.
When I complained to the waitress about the sliced corned beef in lieu of hash, I was told that "We serve fresh hash---not canned hash." But it isn't hash by any stretch of the imagination. Hash is chopped meat, potatoes, onions that is then usually fried. She continued to argue with me. Websters Collegiate Dictionary describes hash, "To chop into small pieces and mix. Meat and vegetables that have already been cooked are chopped and mixed, then sauteed or browned."
I have prepared hash my whole life---so I know what I am talking about--- and you can call slices of meat flung over some potatoes fresh, but don't call it HASH!!! Start chopping or change it on your menu, people! And learn how to cook an egg.
Pros: good home fries and green chilie
Cons: don't bother if you order anything else
