This Acme is one of the nicest stores around here. Trouble is, the customers and the staff here look at you head to toe if you are "different" here. They act as if they have never seen anyone who does not fit their definition of American. That's why after I stopped in here after visiting Costco, I vowed never to return.
Yes it is the nicest Acme around here. Yes it has the grand facade and the shiny floors, the beautiful decor and gourmet bakery. Yes there are a lot of high-end products here that other Acme stores don't stock. But you don't feel welcome here. And the sale items were out of stock. They aren't that busy, but when everyone here glares at you like that, trust me, you'll want to use the self-checkout and bag your own stuff.
I think that this store does not live up to the Acme standards, and I won't be coming back.
In fact, I think I will just switch over to Genuardi's, where the staff are so much friendlier.

Whatever became of Boston Chicken?
What used to be a great place for a chicken sandwich has morphed into the latest foray of McDonald's, the world's fast-food giant.
Massive expansion followed Boston Chicken's meteoric success turning the "Chicken" into the "Market." When bankruptcy nearly closed half of the BM locations, McDonald's purchased the failing chain and has squeezed out every penny. You can still find a handful of stores in the Southern NJ/Philadelphia area.
The quality and cleanliness of the restaurants has declined while BM has consistently added new offerings to their "known for chicken" lineup. It's not working for me. I don't want ham or steak from Boston Market.
Old standbys: the mac and cheese & cornbread.
