My first and only experience shopping at Walk This Way was to place a special order on Dec. 22, 2007, which I paid for in advance. As of this date (Jan. 18, 2008), my order has not yet arrived. I called once after New Year's and was told that nothing had come in because the manufacturer was closed for the holidays. When I called back today, I was told that the order had not arrived yet because Boston was snowed in. I politely expressed my frustration at this four week wait. Rather than being treated with some sympathetic reply, I was told that I was free to cancel that order and that I was giving undue attitude. I hung up in frustration after I was told that I was speaking to "one of the managers." I am canceling the order tomorrow. In summary, rude and uncaring staff/management and sloppy service.

If I were to buy walking shoes, Dansko or Born, then I would surely buy them here but alas I have not actually purchased anything here. I went in looking for the new New Balance walking shoe and the lady who helped me was so nice and she even pointed out a sticker on my jeans that I had forgotten to remove. I loved this place and I love Honolulu Street in Montrose, the little storefronts and the people are so friendly.

I love most of the shoes here but I can't afford them. Why is it that the most comfortable shoes cost so much. But for a small town shoe store they carry a nice selection of shoes.
They have all of the comfortable brands like Rockport, Easy Spirit, Born, etc., and these shoes are expensive no matter where you buy them.
Save your pennies and stop by this store, the shoes are worth it and keep you eyes out for the sales.
Pros: Great shoes
Cons: High prices
