We were driving back from a weekend away, and needed to pull over so we could feed our kid and recharge ? had no clue about the neighborhood and took a chance. The place was packed and we waited a bit, but the host was very receptive and found us a table timely. Food was excellent, and the service was even better. The owner was very personable making rounds to all the tables ? even taking a moment to cheer up my son and cut his food into bite-size portions. We'll be back soon after finding this hidden gem.
Pros: Food hits the spot ? and staff treats you like family
Cons: Recommend reservations ? popular place, can get packed quick

I'm from Firenze Italy and new to America. one thing I know is if I'm going to eat Chinese food, I want authentic Chinese making my food. At Divina Cucina, you have Argentinean owners trying to play off being Italian. I am insulted by their claims to Authentic Italian food! Don't you have to be Italian to do that? Food tasted store bought. Nothing good about this place other than it looks pretty at night.
Pros: Looks pretty at night
Cons: Non Italian

Our neighbor took us this last weekend for our first time, we were seated promptly and the staff was courteous but not friendly. Seating very cramped and uncomfortable, have a disability and did not have room to move, meaning chairs almost touching. They need to remove one table in lower section to prevent customers and staff from bumping into you while you eat, I was bumped 5 times, wife and friend 3 times. Waitress was a little slow on follow up service. They may have been understaffed. Food was very good and tasteful with a good presentation. Desert was delicious. Wine and coffee was delightful. Cost of dinner was slightly overpriced, this could have been offset by more room and a little friendlier staff. We do not mind paying a little extra if full service is achieved. Would recommend to friends.

I am a gourmet cook myself. Years ago I lived in Italy and still miss a lot its excellent and down-to-earth trattorias. Divina Cucina has nothing to do with real Italian food. It is a clear American take on it. That means both: non quality ingredients and cooking technics. Appearance is OK, and it is true that Montrose area lacks decent places. However, after I visited the place a few times I stopped going there.
Cons: Quality of food

The waiters and waitresses make you feel special every time and the atmosphere is just terrific. This place is very romantic and has a great wine menu. You can't go wrong at Divina and the prices are not bad at all for the amount of food you get.
If you are in the Montrose area check out Divina you will be glad you did!
Pros: Romantic, Great Service, Super Wine Menu

Since its initial opening, I've been disappointed by Divina's food and tried it twice during it's first six months of opening and had not dined there again until several months ago. Because of the lovely decor I decided to give Divina one more chance and was STILL disappointed. The decor is beautiful and inviting, but that's where the positives end and the disappointment starts - mainly with the staff's uptight and frantic attitude. Seating was so tightly packed that it made you wonder if they were out of compliance with fire code regulations. The food was greasy but with no flavor and expensive - no different than its initial opening years ago.
The Montrose shopping area where Divina is located has experienced a recent explosion in dining optins, so it's all the more easier to permanently write off Divina from my list of dining choices.
Pros: tasteless greasy food
Cons: uptight service, crowded seating

As the other reviewers have said, the area doesn't offer a lot of high-end eateries. Divina is a small place, and the wait can be daunting, but well worth it. Last trip, I had the chicken gorgonzola, which was great - large portions and very tasty. My wife had the lobster ravioli and loved it as well. We got out under $40, completely satisified with the food, service and the overall experience. Definitely a place I like to frequent.
Pros: Great food
Cons: Very busy, parking
