Used to be a good bar to go to on a tuesday or friday night, I dont think it will stay open another 4 months the way it is going. I ran into a few people at Whispers that were regulars at The Mix and said that the owners friend was very rude and would not come back till he is gone. They asked why they didnt serve becks beer anymore and the old man said its because we have too many A$$ whole customers! I dont blame them for not going back, I think im going to stick to The Fat Dog down the street if not for the red head bartender or Jenna at the mix. Pros: Friendly bartenders, Very big bar Cons: Owners watch dog Tiger is rude, and makes it very uncomfortable

Finally, this Montrose (near Glendale) landmark is under new owernship --and not too soon. Boasts the largest pool hall and sports bar by square footage in the San Fernando and San Gabriel Valleys. Wow! This club has been around forever but recently has stepped it up a notch. Has pool, dart and now beer pong tournaments and leagues. Drinks are the cheapest around and entertainment is usually nightly and includes DJ and live bands. Tues and Thursdays are really jumping with dollar well drinks. Staff is friendly and the lady bar tenders are easy on the eyes. Security is present but not in your face and my date a I felt safe all night. Very blue collar sports bar crowd but the night club is dressy/casual. All and all a fun place to spend 3-4 hours any night of the week. Whether watching football on the 15 tv's or dancing at the club. Plenty of free parking. Check it out. Pros: atmosphere Cons: nothing

this place used to be my hang out for years but now i wont step foot in this joint its going down hill fast ! dont waste your time !!! if you do go they charge you 3 cover why i dont know there is never anyone there.maybe cause they dont want to get into a fight or get stabbed. it smells and they dont keep it clean the mens room overflowd twice while i was there and they just leave it thats ok on my way out i took a peed on there wall making a pact never to return !.they are so low on beer last few times i was there they were all out of tap beer except bud ..( yuck ) and bottled beer forget they have none ! what kind of bar has no beer ? dont get me started on the limited alcohol options its a sad story. no thank you Pros: cheap drinks Cons: everything!

go here if you like toothless guys and the bottom of the barrel crowd. its dark and dingy. the girls look more like guys and i think they have a daily happy hour for large people. the bar crowd sits in silence and the same group go there daily... i'd definitely skip any bars in this area. worth the drive to attend a social group in hollywood, pasadena or the west side unless your pool stick is in your truck and you regular attire includes flannel and denim... or if you like a man with limited intelligence and whisky/cigarettes on his breath and he has a credit score of 500. Pros: cheap drinks, young crowd, lots of parking Cons: happy hour food needs the health inspection, dancing is middle aged overly intoxicated group, if you call that dancing, bartenders over the hill and in way too short shorts.
