in my experience of going to rocky cola cafe was HORRIBLE! The service was okay but the quality of the meals were awful. First, the water tasted like it was tap water with a somewhat of a dirty cup. Second, my burger wasn't even cooked at all. I took one bite and saw "fluid" leaking out of it with every press to the patty. Finally, if you go there with young children, the waiters make a big fuss that if your child does not stop crying, we will have to ask you to leave.
Pros: service
Cons: everything else

The staff is friendly and attentive. I think this is a good location for a youth lunch event such as sports teams, birthdays, etc.
Dinner is more of a family experience.
Definitely give Rocky Cola a try!

The "Oklahoma Chili" is really Smart and Final restaurant supply bulk chili.
Nothing is fresh cooked at Rocky Cola at all. French frys were defrosted in the morning then lightly nuked for your enjoyment! - Bon Appetite'!!!
The food is horrible, expensive, and sloppy service.
Rocky Cola is a tourist trap, plain and simple.
Pros: On a beautiful street.
Cons: Tasteless food. Just frozen and warmed or out of a can.

I grew up going to Rocky Cola Cafe...as a teenage I ended every CVHS activity with a trip there for fried zucchini and vanilla coke. BUT my trip there last week as a mother was a totally different experience. First of all, no changing table in the bathroom. Then I am sitting there with my baby who is breastfeeding and cooing and the manages walks over and tells me another customer is offended by your baby and you need to leave. So I left immediately...and the waiter chases me out to the street to write down my license number to call the police cause I didn't pay for my food. I tell him, I'll pay for my soup but you have got nerve asking me to pay after asking me to leave! Anyways, he walks inside with the credit card then comes back out with the slip for me to sign. He says he is sorry they asked me to go but the offended party wanted to relax. (mind yoiu the juke box was playing louder that my baby was cooing..it was the breastfeeding that annoyed these folks!) When I called the next day to complain to the owner they DID refund my cresit card for the meal BUT I would say this is not the best choice to bring young kids too.
Pros: the staff will make sure all babies are quiet and bottlefed
Cons: no changing table and babies must be quiet

As I native Montrosean, I can say I have enjoyed Rocky Cola for over 15 years. Growing up it was the place to meet friends. When I'd come home from college I'd still go back w/friends. Unlike Ruby's or Johnny Rocket's the meals come with fries and a salad for about the same as a comparable burger would cost. They have a fitness menu, that according to my diet restricted friend, is amazing and quite tasty. Not for a serious night of eating, but definitely a place to kick back and hang out with friends or the family in general. Service is good, if you are nice to the servers, they are very nice and accomodating to you. You get what you put out there. Good price for the food, which is usually over-priced elsewhere.
Pros: Inexpensive, Quaint, Fitness Menu
Cons: Crowded during events, Some obnoxious teens

Rocky Cola is Montrose's Johnny Rocket's. Rocky Cola is an American retro diner that is reminescent of Happy Days. It is a popular place for young and old alike to eat. They serve burgers, steak, and other typical American food. Inside, you'll hear music from the 50's and on, retro decoration, and waitresses and waiters in retro attire. Service and food is good.

I was really hoping to like this place. My wife and I are new to the area and trying to find some hot spots. The 50's Decor is fun. However we noticed that although we were next on the waiting list, other families that signed in after us were seated first. After every other guest was seated, then they seated us.
Our waitress took our order, then disappeared for the remainder of the meal. After waiting five or six minutes, we got up and asked another waiter for our drink order. We noticed no one ever returned for refills. And we felt to embarrassed to keep asking. The food order took longer than expected, but wasn't too bad.
If we had just had average service, this would have been a good experience. Unfortunately, the bad service ruined it for us.
Pros: Lots of Menu Choices, Fun Atmosphere
Cons: Laughably Bad Service, Poor Management
