Good: Price blew everyone out of the water. They were totally fun and fresh...unlike the other old school photographers that seem to overwhelm the monterey/carmel area.. Bad: Like I mentioned below, since they are a "mom & pop" studio, they keep so busy that they don't operate a brick-and-mortar studio where you could just walk in and say "hi". Not that big of a deal.. Improvements: I wish they were a bigger outfit since we actually had to adjust our wedding day by 1-day in order to get a reservation with them. But I guess a small photo studio is a good thing...more personal..

The great view and even better food is the best thing about the fish hopper. They have the best ocean view and the best appetizers ever. We were so hungry that we just kept ordering. The place was crowded and it did take time for them to get our orders but we dont blame them since there were so many people and everyone was having such a great time. Just love this place and would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is reading this.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a number of people when we moved into the area over a year ago. Since then, we have enjoyed dining at Chef Lee's a number of times and often bring family here when they are visiting from out of town. The Honey Walnut Prawns and the Sweet & Sour Chicken are my personal favorites, but I have enjoyed every meal that I've had at this restaurant.

If you're looking for the best chinese food ever, you have to go to Happy Dragon. My husband and I go there about once every two weeks. They have a combo dinner for two which includes sizzling rice soup, fried prawns and eggrolls, mongolian beef, and sweet and sour chicken. This meal is to die for. The sizzling rice and mongolian beef are truly the best I've ever had. The soup is filled with shrimp, pork, chicken and vegetables. It's a meal in itself! And the mongolian beef leaves you craving more. It's really super! Plus the service is on the spot. They can get really busy on Friday and Saturday, so you may want to try a week night.

We stayed at the Old Monterey Inn for our wedding night in October and the entire experience was so nice. The rooms are clean and beautiful. The gardens are breathtaking.
We highly recommend breakfast in bed. What a treat!
The service is outstanding. The Inn is very comfortable and romantic. We will be returning to Old Monterey Inn for sure!

We were doing the tourist thing on the wharf and I was tasting the clam chowder offerings that most all of the restaurants hawk up and down the wharf. I thought Gilbert's (the restaurant, not the market) was the best of the group, so we we went in.
We weren't looking for food, but it happened to be happy hour so we sat at the bar and ordered a couple of drinks. The calamari appetizer was only $2 w/ drinks during happy hour so we added it on (the chowder was not a happy hour offering).
The bartender poured a couple of `healthy' drinks and brought us the calamari right away. As we were enjoying our calamari the bartender overheard my remark to the person seated next to me on the results of my clam chowder taste test. Within a minute or so he brought me a bowl 'on the house'!
It was late afternoon and we didn't stay for dinner, but I can attest to the friendliness of the bar staff, the great clam chowder and the fried calamari appetizer.
