Taco Tuesday's @ Tortilla Flats is MUY great (actually, anyday is a treat). This is such a great experience from the location (overlooking Lake Mission Viejo), to the nice staff & the food (& drink)! Always a fun place to meet up with my friends.
Pros: Great, fresh food - Lake location
Cons: why can't everyday be "Taco Tuesday"? poor Monday, Wed, ...

I have yet to find a better carne asada burrito in the area. I order it with no pico de gallo and add cheese. I wish they were still open late (used to be open 24 hours) but that doesn't take away from the quality of food. I also recommend the carne asada nachos and carne asada fries. The price has also gone up in the past year but that's to be expected. I still love Alberts!

The guacamole is the best youll find anywhere besides in Mexico. I also love the Enchiladas, mini bean and cheese burritos, and chicken taquitos. The people that work there are always nice and there is usually a good amount of people in the small establishment. The prices aren't too bad except for having to pay for salsa. I moved away from Ca and Las Golondrinas was the first place I wanted to eat.

Tijuana Gillies is the local meeting spot. If you stop in more than once, you will see many of the same people getting together. They have a patio that is generally full. Their Sunday Brunch is very good, they make a decent margarita and Victor, the owner is very generous whenever he is approached about any type of fund raiser.

Although one might argue some of the menu items are not authentic, what you get is a fantastic meal at a helluva price. I dine here alomst once a week and I've yet to try anything on the menu which was not good and fresh.
