I loved Dennis Park bakery, their cakes, cookies, frogs, ALL of it! So much in fact I check back every now and then just to see if by chance they have reopened despite the fact they have been closed for years... I just can't get over their closing. :(.. A search today pulled up a Dennis Park bakery in Northridge, but the number was no good.... more

Please Open Again!!!! 8/8/2009

We were crushed to see our favorite bakery suddenly close! We've been going to this bakery since I was a child! Their frogs were absolutely amazing. I would give anything for one right now! Honey bran muffins 4/3/2009

For anyone who loved the ooey, gooey, covered in coconut honey bran muffins at Dennis Park Bakery, I found a great substitute. The honey bran muffins sold at Gelson's are just as tasty, perhaps even better, albeit a bit expensive. more

Memories 3/27/2009

This was my mom's favorite bakery. She died when I was 17 and I was able to stop in now and then and pick up a treat to take to her grave when I would visit. I was crushed to see they were no longer there. Her cousins grew up around the corner. It has been an institution in our family for generations. I hope you will open elsewhere or publish a cookbook or something. really anything would be amazing. I would give anything to bring my mom's aunt a special treat from Dennis Park one last time. more

reply to "gone for good".. 12/11/2008

Let Dennis Park survive! 12/2/2008

Marc C. - I grew up with your family's bakery for the last 40 years. Even after we moved away, we'd come back occasionally for the chocolate chip cookies, the bran muffins, the sheephearder's bread, and on and on. . . Please, please, please publish some recipes! more

Dennis Park delicious 6/25/2007

Boo Hoo!! I have been going to DPB for 43 years. My brother and I loved the chocolate covered frogs, but the best cake in the universe was the 7-layer rum cake. 10 Years ago I moved to Arizona, but every visit back to CA we picked up a cake at the bakery before heading home. I was sooooo disappointed today when I went by the bakery to get the rum cake and frogs for my own children and found Dennis Park Bakery gone!!! The neighborhood has changed, but my memories of the rum cake will never be forgotten. Will you be publishing the favorite recipes now that the bakery has closed? alparkaz@aol.com Thanks for the memories!!! more

Gone for good 7/31/2006

My family owned the bakery and, yes, we are gone for good. Unfortunatly, a lot of things happened at once, including talk of the shopping center being torn down and remodeled, so we just decided to call it a day. We really love seeing all the nice things people have to say about it. I'm only 19 and I've just now come to realize what our little bakery meant to the Valley. Thanks for coming by year after year. Believe me, we miss it just as much as you do. more

Is Dennis Park Bakery gone for good 7/14/2006

Dennis Park Bakery made the most unusual, square-shaped honey bran muffins. Now the bakery is gone. Does anyone know if they have reopened in another location? Gotta have those muffins. more
