This is a place that is made to look like a little village from the 1840s-1890s. The bulidings all make you feel like you stepped back in time. All the people are dressed up in clothes from that era as well. You are able to see how life was lived in a village during that time period. This is fun for both kids and adults. It helps children to understand that things were not always as high tech as today is. They even offer guided tours.

The Walker offers a wide variety of different types of art. Many pieces are done by local artists. There is so many types of art to see, you never get bored. When you are done inside, take a walk to the Sculpture Garden. Here you can see the famous cherry and spoon sculpture that I always try to point out to mu husband when driving on I-94. The sculptures are all unique and fun to look at.

Intercontinental Video has been my source for rare and esoteric titles since I first took a film history class in college. A friend of mine introduced me to the dark, disgusting underbelly of this shop's collection a few years later. I don't think I will ever be the same after watching some of their Italian zombie flicks, or that timeless German classic "Necromancer II".
On the lighter side, they have just about everything by Nicolas Roeg, and just about every other European director of note.

The Chaska Community center has it all. They have an indoor pool that has a rope swing and waterslide. There is a shallow part for the kids. They have an indoor track so you can run and get some exercise. There is a gymnasium, exercise and weight room, and a stream and sauna room. The whole family can get some exercise here. There is also an ice arena for ice skating. They have an indoor playground to keep the kids busy. And they have virtual gold and a theatre auditorium. if you get hungry they even have a cafe grill. This is by far the best community center I have seen so far.

This is a good place to go if you want to learn a bit about Swedish history. This was the former home of the Swedish immigrant Swan Turnblad. It is a 33 room castle. As you walk through this castle, you learn about Swedish history and culture. You can see Swedish art decorating the walls. They do have limited hours so be sure to call ahead. This castle is also on the National Register of historic places.

This is Our Home church for the last 3 years and we highly recommend it.
It is truly a place for anyone and everyone. Christian in doctrine and loving in mission. The senior and associate pastors are excellent speakers and God led individuals. The worship is wonderful and mainly consist of a contemporary mix of R&B, Gospel & Hip Hop. It is accepting of all styles and you may even catch a country tune, a hymn, an alternative rock band or a rapper on any given Sunday. You will not doze in this service!
They also have an excellent childrens program durring the service and throughout the week you can hook up with one of many smaller groups. Another facet is the Sanctuary CDC [community decvelopement corporation] which is it's own entity that provides services for the community. We currently meet in the auditorium of Anwattin Middle school, have during the week services at First Covenant in Downtown MPLS, and have offices in on Golden Valley Road. The vision is uncompromisingly focused on loving and changing circumstances in North Minneapolis.

If your girls love sparkles and pink, this is definately the place for them. My daughter is still pretty young but she had a blast at libby lu. We had the libby du, she was able to pick five items from the pick a mix and also was able to make her own fancy potion. The price was very reasonable *around $25. My daughter talks about this place everyday. We are planning to have her birthday party there this year. We can not wait!!
