The key members of the company never disappoint. They fill every role from direction to acting to writing and set design. The company’s production of the Magic Flute was brilliant, and Steven Epp is the second funniest man on the planet (Marcel Marceau is the funniest).
Unlike the Guthrie, the Jeune Lune doesn’t try to push the same saccharin fluff on its audience every season. They actually try to invent and reinvent. For this reason, the Jeune Lune was awarded the regional Tony this year.
The theater is located in a remodeled warehouse in Minneapolis’s warehouse district. There is some street parking. If you have to park in a lot, it will only set you back three bucks.

A bold statement, I know, but this is my favorite theatre in Minnesota. The troupe is orginally from France, founded by Domineque Serrand and Vincent Gracieux in the seventies.

The Jeune Lune constantly reminds me why I love theater. They can do anything. Comedy, Tragedy, Opera, Shakespere, Chekhov, so on and so on. There is not a more dramatic, funny, acrobatic, unique theater anywhere near here.
The theater itself is in the Warehouse district. The house was the main part of a warehouse at one time and is now a blackbox theater capable of any set up they would like and they take advantage of that.
Everyone go and see for yourselves!
