Twin City Tattoo is the new and much improved Yurkew. Dave Yurkew, Mikes father and founder, opened Tattooing by Yurkew in the late 70's, did alot for the industry of tattooing, but at the same time through the years there has been a few less than desirable "artist" employed at this local. Nowadays Mike, Eric, Jessica and Levi, in my opinion, are taking great care to improve the unfortunate shadow cast upon the Minneapolis community. Each artist, diverse in their respected field, to me seems competent, friendly and down to earth. No rock stars, just good work, clean environment, modern facilities at a fair price.

Mike, Eric and Levi have been nothing but professional each and everytime I have been to their shop. Eric does all my work and I am more than pleased with the outcome. My wife also just had her first piece done (very large) by Mike Yurkew. Mike was very receptive to what she wanted out of the piece, in addition to giving his own expert advice on the desired outcome. Both my wifes piece (done by Mike) and mine (done by Eric) far exceeded our expectations. Great place to get a piercing as well! ~ David ~ St. Paul, MN

I went here for 2 of my tattoos and a couple of my piercings. They were actually recommended to me by several people, and I was very young. I would never let anyone go here now that I'm more experienced! The tattoo artist watched tv more than he watched my tattoo! The color is horrible, and he went so deep that it scarred so bad it can't be fixed. They were very rude and made you feel very unimportant. I've been to several other places since, and I now know that this isn't how a tattoo shop is supposed to be run!
