Zip-In is a convenience store located in the US Bank Building Downtown Minneapolis. This is one of the best convenience stores Downtown - they have a very nice selection of all the things you may need during your work day downtown.
Snacks Available: Chips in large and single serve pkg's snack bars, candy, crackers, warm-up soups and sandwiches, yogurt, cheese sticks, fresh fruit and lots of candy, including the single serve pieces.
Beverages: Canned/bottled soda, juice, bottled water, 2-liters, 12-packs of soda, energy drinks and milk
They also sell single serve medicines, Kleenex, toiletries, batteries, lottery tickets, greeting cards and stuffed animals.
They clerks are so friendly and a few of them have been around forever!

They have beatiful jewelry! But I was not impressed with their customer service. After purchasing an expensive gold and diamond pendant for a gift (which had to be ordered), I got the "run around" trying to pick it up! if it hadn't been for a gift I needed that day, I would have told them to keep it and refund my money!

I have to admit I don't quite understand the phenomenon that is Yankee Candle Company. I don't burn that many candles anyway. But I do love this store. There's something about how beautifully the candles on display are arranged that makes the store very inviting. The smell is strong -- I wouldn't call it overwhelming, but I'm sure there may be some folks with more sensitive noses who disagree with me. To me it's a comforting atmosphere. The sales staff is always friendly, and I haven't run into a pushy sales clerk there yet. Maybe, just maybe, I'll eventually figure out how a store like this can stay in business when all it sells is candles (and similar items). For now I enjoy browsing.

Very affordable, yet upscale vision boutique. The store is small, but stylish, with artwork by local artist shown gallery-style. The sales people are not high pressure, and they take several vision plans. Unfortunately, Dr. Daly doesn’t do full-service exams in this location anymore (you’ll have to go to their sister location for that), but this is hands down the most quaint glasses shop I’ve ever been to.

We had such a great experience with Wixon Jewelers. We bought my engagement ring there, as well as the bands. I highly recommend it. The folks there don't work on commission, which means they don't try to upsell, they are super helpful, the selection is awesome, and there are goldsmiths on the premises. When I first got my engagement ring, it was like a quarter of a size too small. We took it in one evening (I was soooo sad, thinking they would have to take my ring for a couple of days) and one of the goldsmiths did it in an hour. And if you stop in, request my girls Gina and Connie. They were tremendously awesome and helpful.
Pros: customer service, variety
Cons: intimidating for those of us on a budge
