Compairing this place against fast food is appropriate since their signature dish is a cheese filled burger. If you get a typical meal here of a burger, fries and drink it really isn't more than $1 or so more than Burger King. But it is oh-so-much better. However, you do have other costs involved. I have never gotten out of this place in less than 2 hours. It seems they are chronically short on help and overwhelmed. This does not distract from the food. Just be forewarned to have adequate time to eat.

5-8 is a strong competitor with matt's for the best jucy lucy's around the minneapolis area. they have a pretty big sitting area, although one often has to wait a while to find a seat during a peak-viking game on a sunday afternoon. wait service is a bit slow, but it's worth the food. it's pub food, but it's cheap and reasonable. free parking on the street and they have a small lot, so it's easy to find parking. worth checking out for a casual bar get-together if you're down by lake nokomis. there's a back room that's covered but has open windows that provides more room (no tvs back there though).
