A amazing venue in Minneapolis!
Club 3 degrees is an awesome night club now located in Downtown Minneapolis. It has existed as the New Union night club previously for a long time and is now Club 3 degrees because this is their 3rd andbest locationso far!
It is adult, teen, and occasionally kid friendly. The music is all styles and all christian. Their lounge is decked out with pool tables, a dj and a bar-- [No alcohol is served] and is cover-charge free!
The concerts do have tickets and range from Rock, ska, alternative, rap, contemporary, r & b, etc... and are both local artists and national acts.

Bloomington Baptist Church is conveniently located just west of France Avenue on West 98th Street.
BBC is a slightly more traditional church with excellent teaching and a congregation of about 300. They have excellent children's programs. Music on Sunday mornings is a mix of contemporary and traditional music.
Everyone at BBC is very friendly and since it's smaller, you won't get lost in the crowd.

My family has been attending this church for a little more than a year and we love it. We worked very hard at finding a church that fit our relgious and social values and this church is a perfect fit. It is a wonderful old building in downtown Mpls and has traditional services with amazing music. It is an active congregation working to put their faith in action and positively impact the greater community. The community involvement and work for peace and social justice are what led us to this great church!

Judy, this is a great church. It sounds from your reveiw that you are very judgemental and racist towards white people. I do not judge others just because they made the correct decisions in life and are hard working. The bottom may have dropped out of your life because of your poor attitude. Think about it. Like many seekers, I had been haphazardly dabbling in yoga for over a decade. The Meditation Center finally gave me focus and inspired me to commit to the yoga lifestyle.
The only center in Minneapolis teaching the 5,000-year-old unbroken spiritual tradition of Raja Yoga - an integrated, *scientific*, experiential approach to improving a person's ability to skillfully use mind and body in everyday life. You won't find power yoga classes here, but extensive, indepth, thoughtful instuction in the physical as well as the mental and spiritual aspects of yoga - Hatha, meditation, pranayama, etc.
I highly recommend the Thursday night sampler as an introduction the center and to the Himalayan Tradition.

Emanuel Christian Center is a very good,evangelical, outgoing congregation. It started with just a few people in a living room with a vision and has grown huge. There are lots of programs to get involved in and the messages are also great. Their youth group is exciting and fun.
It IS a very large church but it all depends on where God leads you to be a part of whether it's for you or not :)

New Hope was like home to us and the people our family. They are wonderful! It is a nice, traditional church with a wonderful heart. You will get welcomed :) and they are there if you need anything. Very personalized. We would still attend there had we not felt called to a church plant in the inner city.

i've been going to Brookdale covenant church on and off for 16 years. when things have been tough they were and still are there. when i haven't shown up for a while they pray for me. when i need to talk to someone they are there. they take my suggestions with an open mind. they are a friendly church they welcome you with open arms. there isn't as many arms as there used to be. but, the church goes through growing pains too. my church is small now about 200 compared to 5 years ago. back than there were roughly 400 people. we don't have a permanent pastor right now. but, the temporary one with have is very good. my 17 year old daughter still goes to church on and off. youth groups and conventions too. she's been to many church camps. and loves the church dearly. i'm excited to go back to church again every Sunday that i can pull it together. i have bi-polor it has many changes going on too. it's been worse now it's better. some has been my faith in god, myself and the people of Brookdale covenant church. no question is a dumb question somebody there will take the patience and time to explain it to you. even my 12 year old son who has autism loves church now. and best of all he believes and wants to learn now. and as he says "people at church love me and really care about me" Corrine of Blaine Minnesota

My husband and I have been searching for a place to call home. Coming from two seperate religions we were open to exploring many different churches. We stopped by Mount Olivet on a very busy Sunday morning. We were both blown away by how large the congregation was!!! Everyone was friendly and very inviting. We felt very comfortable as visitors being at this church. We look forward to going back again.

This community is very welcoming to everyone that walks though the doors. They have open discussion and conversation. Conversations frequently continue after the service downstairs during coffee and cookies.
The only thing I don't like is that the only option of a service to attend is 10:30 on Sunday. I would prefer something earlier so I could get back home before noon.
They do have a great religious education program where the kids learn about many world religions.
