In the twin cities, one of the premier florists is Bachman's. Bachman's has several store locations. The stores are so much fun to visit. Not only do they offer an amazing variety of flowers, plants, shrubs, and trees, they have an excellent collection of gifts! What a great place to find a gift for that special female in your life. They have pottery, candles, vases, collectables..just to name a few. The gifts are very high end and unique..you will find things here you've never seen. I can spend hours in these stores.

Malmborg's, now in business for 45 years, carries plants and shrubs similar to a lot of other nurseries around town.
What really sets them apart, however, is their yearly spring open house, usually held in late April.
At the open house this year, their small perennials were 2 for 1, and their larger plants and shrubs were 25% off.
The sale is a great way to kick off your planting season-especially since other nurseries are charging premium prices for their plants at this time of year.

You can order services online which is very convenient! I love being able to see what date they were out and what they did with the ability to order other services if need be. Online access to your account with fast reliable service. They came out and did an estimate the same day I filled out a request, they then called me to let me know they left me an estimate. I then ordered service online and that's it. Couldn't be happier

Lyndale Garden center is a medium-sized garden center with a decent variety of items and plants. They usually have coupons, so don't pay regular price. Their quality is decent, plants are not as good as Bachman's, but definitely cheaper. My favorite item from there has been their strawberry plants, which have done amazingly well. They have been around for awhile and they are a decent place to shop for your gardening needs.

This store is manageable in size, and they have plants I have never seen or heard of anywhere else. The staff isn't snooty, and the cats are beyond cute, lazing about the place. Not your typical garden experience.

I've had Fertilawn for the 7 years I've owned my home, and I think they're great. I haven't done a lot of price shopping, but then again I haven't felt the need because I feel like I get good value for what I pay. They're very responsive, they have experts who can answer questions, and they even referred me to a tree doctor to take care of a diseased evergreen. I would highly recommend them to anyone who cares about their lawn and the environment.

Tangletown Gardens has become my secret weapon to create the coolest combinations for my containers. There is no other place that compares. I always feel at ease knowing their helpful design suggestions and advise will ensure results and ultimately success. Sometimes, I'll let them take the lead with their ideas, and other times I'll give them parameters. Either way, they respect my ideas while pushing the envelope of unexpected combinations-- things I wouldn't come up with on my own. To me, this is a value, since I pay the same for their plants as I would anywhere else, with the confidence of knowing their ideas and plants will work in my garden. In addition, the place seems to lift my spirits whenever I visit and most importantly, they care about me.
