If you sew I suggest visting Hancock Fabrics in Bloomington in the Southtown shopping center. They carry an extensive supply of notions and supplies as well as fabric, home decorating essentials and quilting stuff. It is not as large as a Joann superstore but I have found that if a certain item is not available at the large, popular chain stores I am likely to find it at this smaller craft store. Recently I was on the hunt for a magnetic snap used in making purses and tote bags and I could not find it anywhere. On a whim I drove over to Hancock's and they had plenty and in several finishes! They are known to have some great deals on patterns. I have purchased many different brands during their $1 promotions. They also send out coupons if you sign up for their circular. This is a great store for those who sew!

Red Lure Red is really a microcosm of what Uptown Minneapolis should be like. It is a locally owned modern furnishings store, started by two interior designer friends, that brings a clean, clever design sensibility that is usually found only in more cosmopolitan environments such as New York or Paris.
Their display pieces featuring designers such as blu dot and phillip stark are always carefully coordinated and wonderfully thought out.
Should you require it, they also offer complete interior design services.
Unlike 99.9% of what you find in Minneapolis, this boutique would not be out of place in Soho or the Filmore district of San Francisco.

Wow, this store is neat. They have top of the line cooking products, and a lot to choose from. The store looks small from the outside, but it's pretty big once you get in. It's got a great area in the back of the store set up for giving cooking courses. They have group classes, grilling classes, tuscan dinner classes and bring in chefs from around the area. I went there for a rubber spatula, but came out with a lot of great ideas. The staff there is amazing too!
