I had Oleson's Tree Service out in August and they did a wonderful job, they removed 23 trees and it was pretty amazing how fast they were. removing the stumps took a little longer and they seemed a little inexperianced with it, but the end result was perfect. I read bad reviews and was a little scared to go with them, but I am happy that I did. I explained to them that they dont get paid until the job is done, and they completed everything on time. I would recommend Oleson's tree service, but I would also recommend that you are very pushy with what you expect from them.

I made the mistake of paying in full for the removal of a tree and the stump before the stump was removed. Curt (sales rep) assured me that they would be back to remove the stump on that Thursday, that was 2.5 months ago. He would actually take my call for the first month, always promising to finish the job within a few days. I have appealed to the owner (Brian) to no avail (only by message, he won't take or return my calls). I should have stuck to my gut when I heard Curt making explanations for delays to a customer calling him while he was quoting me. Bottom line..do yourself a favor and pick a different tree service.

Much like the prior review, they take the money and run. On May 21, 2009 they cut five trees down for us and promised to return to take out the stumps. To date they have not returned despite countless calls to them with promises that Curt or Jason will return a call. We are currently filing legal papers against this company. Be careful when you get an invoice with no address on it.

The person triming the tree left for another job without cutting away all of the dead branches from my maple tree. Curt the sales rep promised to do the work himself on Monday. Four calls over two months have resulted in promises of next day service but no action. It is bad enough that another tree service stopped by yesterday and said the tree needed triming and shot me a price to finish the job. Don't pay them based on a promise to return!

I have never used a tree service before, so I don't have anything to compare their work to, but I thought that Oleson's Tree Service did pretty good work. We had 2 dead trees removed, 2 ornamental trees trimmed back, and a large ash tree trimmed back as well. They took down the two dead trees and left us the logs in 16 inch long logs stacked in a neat pile (we had requested to keep the logs for our fireplace). They trimmed the ornamental trees very nicely - they are well shaped and trimmed enough to leave alone for about 2 years or so. They trimmed quite a bit off the ash tree and it does look pretty nice. I wish they would have left a bit more on it - but it doesn't look bad. There was one other tree they were supposed to trim but they wouldn't because it was too close to the power lines. I was disappointed - but I understood their reasons. I was unhappy that they did not change the price after not doing that tree - even when I asked. They did clean up very nicely - even raking up the yard. You couldn't tell by looking at the ground that we had trees removed. They do not appear to have a website, but you can call them at 612-807-0776.
