Now usually I am a casual drinker of the black coffee people in waiting rooms offer. That's why it threw me off a little when I got coupons for free any size anything at Caribou Coffee. I like my coffee black because it's base. Take pot. Fill provided cup. Tad da! Not so here. It was tearing me apart. So many choices! What do I choose?!! I boldly faced my fears and ordered a soy Carmel High Rise, double Expresso, and 1 got them to put in sugar free carmamel syrup and put the whip in a seperate cup. It gave me a twisted sort of pleasure when it would have rang up at $6.10 (plus tax)
When it was finally ready (it was the afternoon and it took a long time) I tried it. It tasted burnt. Very very very burnt. And not at all like caramel. They added extra caramel for me. Still tasted nothing of carmamel. More? Still no cookie. Luckily I like my coffe strong, so I managed half of it, while my mom ate the whipped fat- I mean cream. I refrigerated it, and it was much better cold. Coffee is almost always better in the morning.

The Caribou off of Highway 62 and Penn Avenue is a great Caribou. Not only is it in a Lunds, which makes grocery shopping much more enjoyable, but it is also its own store and you can feel comfortable going there just for a cup of joe and not shopping.
Sometimes it can get busy in the morning and I've had to wait, that's my only negative experience.

I love Caribou Coffee a lot. I mean a lot. So I'm usually the first one to stick up for a store even if they give less than stellar service. However, the Caribou on 66th and Lyndale is worth commenting on. I've had several problems there and it just makes me sad. The drinks are still good and I'm glad it's in the neighborhood. I have heard that some staff were recently let go, so I'm hoping that it gets better.
