Our experience at Oceanaire was fantastic. The reservationist was kind and accomidating over the phone. When it came to ordering, our waiter, Kevin, was incredibly helpful and took the time to explain the menu and made fabulous recommendations. In our case, we were celebrating a special event and they made sure we were being well taken care of. Thanks for a great meal and a great night!

What a great time! Distinguished decor, remarkable food with enormous portions, extensive wine list, friendly, intelligent staff, attractive, well to do guest. This is what I call a perfect place for dinner or just drinks and appetizers. Great people watching as well. Manny's may have a new location but I would follow where ever they went!!
Pros: Everything is well done
Cons: Waiting for a table

We've always enjoyed Stella's. We prefer to sit in the bar area. We are both big fish/seafood fans & our meals are always delicious. I think our favorite experience is when we came in on a Saturday for lunch. They had a few food & drink specials, plus the place wasn't super busy. I have yet to experience the rooftop bar but heard it's a good view.
Pros: menu choices, choices of where to sit

Went with my fiance for a nice evening on the town. I have lived in the Twin Cities my entire life and always wanted to try the Nicollet Island Inn Restaurant. I have heard wonderful/positive comments from family and friends. Its reputation was true and upheld. It has a very nice quiet/romantic atmosphere. The music playing fit the environment perfectly - Ella Fitzgerald along with some other nice light jazz. The food was excellent. My steak was cooked to perfection and my fiance's chicken melted in her mouth. To top the nice evening off, the manager came by introducing himself, and made sure our experience was pleasant. And it was! Growing up in Minneapolis/St. Paul I have been around and this establishment is tops. I highly recommend this to anyone. My only regrets is that it has taken over 30 years for me to eat at the Nicollt Island Inn Restaurant.
Pros: Impressive staff and manager

For my sisters birthday this last weekend, she chose to go to Solera's to celebrate. At the beginning I had been very reluctant to go since I have never been there before, but once we arrived we all had a great time! It was a little crowded but overall the enviornment was upbeat and fun! The drinks were great and I will be returning again soon!
Pros: young, hip and fun!
Cons: crowded

We were actually on our way to a nearby sandwich shop when we decided to give Babalu a try. We weren't aware that they had a lunch, much less a lunch buffet. As it was nearing 2pm, they were getting ready to tear the buffet down (understandably so!), but the executive chef offered to make some more of the dishes on the buffet that were gone.
The food had to be some of the most flavorful that we've had in Minnesota. The chef came out again to check on us, and even offered to explain some of his dishes that we were enjoying. He apologized again that the food was not out immediately when we arrived and then suggested we order a dessert on him. We walked out with a bill under $25 between the two of us.
What we took from this was that Babalu has some amazing food, prepared by an executive chef who really cares that his customers are happy and enjoying his food. We'll most certainly be back...and looking forward to Dinner next time!
Pros: Flavorful food, chef interaction, atmosphere

Alright, I just reviewed the reviews for 112 Eatery and urge everyone out there to ignore the bad reviews. I've eaten at 112 for years and having just moved to Chicago a little less than a year ago am arriving in town soon and the first thing that I am going to do is take the train from the airport, rush to 112, and promptly order a glass of wine and some steak tartare.
Allow me to point out a couple of points to the disgruntled: 1) You cannot complain about the food, no way, no how. This is the place that chefs, cook, and servers eat when they get off their shifts. 2) Get over your suburban, entitled attitude that the server is their to entertain you. They are certainly not. They are there to quickly and efficiently serve you food and drink. 3) It is not, I repeat, not normal to expect something free on your birthday. 4) No you cannot get a reservation at 7. It clogs up that table for the restaurant because they could have seated it at 6 and again at 8 instead of having you roll in at 7, a perfectly normal dinner hour if your staying in.
Go to 112. Go to 112. Go to 112.
Pros: steak tartare, variety of price points, ambience
Cons: hard to get a reservation

There just aren't enough stars. Five stars are not enough. I would give Temple six stars after my last dinner there. I was there for a romantic Valentine's Day dinner with my beloved. We are both vegetarian an had planned to split the Singapore noodle--an amazing dish with five spice. But it had been recently removed from the menu, much to our dismay. The hot and spicy eggplant had been too hot and spicy for us the last time, so we didn't know what to do. The chef made us a new creation with noodles and five spice and a variety of vegetables. It was better than anything I've ever had before anywhere. He is truly talented.
As usual, we ordered the squash dumplings, edamame, tamago, and seaweed salad. Everything was delicious, as always. These are my favorite dishes at Temple. The dumplings are more flavorful than any I have ever tasted before. The edamame shells just fall off the bean. The tamago is smoother and more perfectly layered than any I've ever had. The wine list is great too.
I recommend this restaurant for anyone who is looking for a relaxing evening of sensational flavors, great service, and romantic ambiance.
Pros: Talented chef, flavorful food, romantic ambiance

It was our anniversary and we wanted someplace special. We have walked by this place and always wanted to eat there.
We have recently said, its been a long time since we have had a meal that made you say "WOW" That was awesome. Vincent provided it.
We opted for the tasting menu along with the Wine pairing. We figure the Wine pairing was less expensive than the one bottle of wine we were going to order.
They did nice pours and never were out of wine.
Vincent himself stopped by the table and was very gracious.
The food was awesome.
Vincent, if your reading.. Loved your restaurant and your food.. one suggestion.. loose the curtains.. Good luck on the Triathlon!
Pros: The Food
Cons: A little Spendy, but WELL worth it

My dad wanted to bring me to Murray's because as he says, 'anyone who lives in MN should try it once.' When we got there, the old charm brings you back right away. We were promptly greeted by our server who asked if we needed a few moments. Once we were set, we ordered; I had the filet of beef which I requested Bearnaise sauce, a baked potato and a caesar (per the previous reviews I had to try). My dad ordered the same but with the NY strip. The caesar was the best ever and the steak- one of the bests I have ever had. For dessert, we ordered coffee and the chocolate souffle which takes 11-15 minutes to make from scratch and worth the wait. Everything was wonderful and the price really not as bad once you also add in the restaurant it's self and what other restaurants change that don't have half the charm. I do have to say, our server Shane was also wonderful- the way service should be!
Pros: The place it's self !
