This is the most fun location to go if you are into Jazz/Blues. Here's a place you can go in Uptown, eat, and stay for the entertainment. The service was good. There was a huge line-up but they still got us in and seated in less than 20 min. Super service! The wait staff was super on top of everything. No complaints!
Pros: Fun fun!
Cons: none

SOME OF YOU DONT UNDERSTAND THAT RESTAURANTS ARE PUBLIC PLACES! THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE BUSY/NOISY/CROWED AND FULL IF U GO OUT ON A FRIDAY, SATURDAY OR SUNDAY NIGHT. EVEN DURING THE WEEK..MAYBE THEY DONT HAVE ENOUGH SERVERS ON THE CLOCK AND THATS WHY U SEE TABLES OPEN AND U R WAITING TO BE SEATED. BUT PLEASE, IT IS A PUBLIC PLACE...UNDERSTAND THAT! NOT EVERYTHING CAN BE PERFECT ALL THE TIME...SO IF U HAVE A COMPLAINT ABOUT IT! LET THE MANAGER KNOW BEFORE U LIVE THE RESTAURANT AND DONT CALL BACK A WEEK LATER SAYING THE FOOD WASNT HOT ENOUGH!
Pros: GREAT FOOD/GOOD SERVICE
Cons: CROWED/BUSY/NOISY (IT IS A RESTAURANT!!!!!!!!!!)

My husband and I live close to Benihana in Golden Valley and we dine there about once a month (in fact, we were there last night). I agree with a couple of the other comments about lackluster customer service, as they don't have the most accommodating staff. That said, I think people need to go here expecting to have all members of your party ready to be seated at the same time; it makes sense to me, if you show up with 5 people and are waiting on 1 more, don't expect the other couple at your table to sit there and wait for your 6th to show before they can order...welcome to communal eating, folks. Benihana is usually a hectic place, so I guess I understand why they are a little rough around the edges when it comes to seating people. My husband and I go as a twosome often and NEVER have a problem getting in, even when it's busy. We've also gone dozens times with large groups, which, on occasion, is a little more complicated. Overall, I've found that if you're extra nice to the staff and expect that things can move a little slow here, you won't get all bent out of shape. My opinion is that the food and the chefs are totally worth any drama you get from the hosts or servers. And here's a hint, act like you're interested in the show. Clap for them when they do a trick! Give them a little something to let them know you're engaged and they'll pay you back in spades. The food is consistently very good, and believe me when I say we've had just about everything on the menu. Here's another hint: be assertive with the chef. Let them know how you like your filet cooked or if you want extra shrimp sauce. They'll take care of you! Feel free to joke around with them and you'll have a lot more fun. My favorites include the fried rice, shrimp, scallops, filet, lobster, the onion/zucchini side dish, tuna steak, and of course, the SHRIMP SAUCE. My final hint: pour the shrimp sauce on your fried rice...you won't be sorry=)
Pros: Great food, fun dinner show, lots of free parking, nice bar area to wait in
Cons: May have to wait for a table, have to be patient with host staff

The happy hour from 4-6pm then 9-11pm everday and all day on tues. The apps are delicious for $3 best curry wings ever and good size and drinks are $3 taps and not crappy domestic beer either guiness and stella for $3 and rail drinks. Great looking place as well. me and my friends had our doubts about the place well it looks like a toy store from the sign, but after eating there it became our favorite spot.
Pros: Food Price And Quality
Cons: Parking

I'm originally from Illinois, and I went to Minneapolis in 2000 for vacation. I tried their pizza for the first time, and was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by how good it was (actually was the best I ever had...and trust me, I've eaten a LOT of pizzas!). I came bact to Minneapolis in 2004, and immediately came BACK to Davanni's and it was STILL as good as the first time I had it. LOL, me and my wife ordered it another 3 times when we were in Minneapolis, and if we ever come back to town, we'll go there again!
Pros: the PIZZA, and the service!!!!
Cons: NONE

Get a pop, bread, salad or minnestrone soup, your entree, and a dish of ice cream (with carmel or chocolate sauce) all for approx. $15 including a tip. Has great food and even more amazing bread, and if its busy just chow down on bread till your food comes!!! the waiters will bring you as much as you like. If you dont want to drive downtown and worry about parking you can take the lightrail. It may be slow and crowded but all good restraunts can get that way. Its great for any occaison.
Pros: great price, great food, amazing bread
Cons: ABSOLUTY NOTHING
