This is a wonderful and vibrant church, but its sheer size makes it easy to get "lost in the crowd". With over 3,800 families, it's a very large parish. However, there are many, many opportunities to meet other people if you are willing to do more than just attend Mass. There are frequent speakers, bible studies, and so on. There are also small groups for everyone from teens to singles to seniors. Plus... like almost any place else - volunteer your time and you'll meet some great people as you work together.
I've personally benefitted from joining the Parents' Morning Out group, the music ministry, Faith Formation, a bible study, and I've attended several evening speakers. There are youth groups, a singles ministry, groups that meet each month to help to feed the poor, and much more. I've been a parishioner for about 10 years, and I feel very blessed to be a part of this parish.
I feel confident that part of the blessing comes from the 24-7 Perpetual Adoration chapel, where Jesus' real presence is available and accessable at all times. I highly recommend this parish... but encourage you to get involved so that you can make it your "church home".

St. Vincent's church is about four miles from my home, but I did go there for some time. It is a very modern, newer church, but the people are not very friendly. People who have gone there for a number of years, say that they are never greeted or made to feel at home there. The church itself is beautiful. They have a large parking lot, but many times not enough space, so cars are parked on the street. They have a 5:00 P.M. mass on Saturday, and three masses on Sunday: 7:30 A.M., 9:00 A.M., and 11:00 A.M. There is daily mass, Monday through Friday at 8:00 A.M. If you are looking for a Catholic church near there, you may try it and have a better reception than other people did.
