Hope Community Church, located on 7th & 10th in Downtown Minneapolis is a great church to check out if you're just checking out Christianity, or have questions about what the whole church thing is about. Located in a beautiful, 100 year old building, Hope is a very college age focused church. But that does not mean that it panders to the modernistic approach to God. Instead, Hope is "Vintage Christianity for a New Generation". The teaching, by Pastor Steve Treichler, is solid, and completely bible based (expositional teaching, currently starting the Gospel of John). The worship is passionate, impactful and able to draw in even the most jaded person. And the people who go there are friendly, sincere and real. If you're a new Christian, or just wondering why you should consider giving church a chance, attend one of their Sunday morning services (at 9 & 11), and see what you think.
