My husband and I took two friends to Totinos Saturday night to try it out. We all loved it!! Our server was awesome -- I think his name was Jim. We had the garlic cheese bread, bruschetta, and a mixture of pastas and pizza for our entrees. And tiramisu for dessert, which rocked. Totinos has a pretty basic menu, but this is authentic Italian. For those of you non-Italians, you just wouldn't understand. The red sauce is delicious with just a little bite to it and the meatballs are the best. I recommend the cheese ravioli -- homemade and so yummy!!! I've been looking for a great Italian restaurant since I moved here from Chicago. I finally found it!!! Thank you, Totinos!!!
Pros: Best Italian Food in the Twin Cities
Cons: Not down the block from my house :-)

The food essentially isn't any different from what you can make at home. If you can take some pasta noodles in a box and boil them and dump some jar tomato sauce on top - you have Totino's.
I feel like Olive Garden's Italian food is more flavorable than Totino's.
How has Totino's been open for so many years if the food is so bland and like store bought?
I don't get the appeal.
Pros: Parking
Cons: Bland boring food

I went here on a weekday and it was surprisingly busy, which seemed like a good sign. Lots of people were coming in while we were seated. We were not told what they were out of until we wanted to order it, which was disappointing. Our neighbouring booth ran into the same problem of not being informed what the kitchen was out of. When the food did come, it was pathetic! I had the tricolor tortellini with the meatless sauce. I was expecting that since the place is Italian there would be some garlic at least, but there was not a slight trace of it. The tortellini was bland and so was the sauce. My fiance didn't like his cheese ravioli with a meatball side either. It had the same flavorless red sauce - the food was completely uninspired. We were shocked by the lack of taste and baffled by the number of patrons in there when we could barley eat two or three bites of our order! When the waitress came over to check on us, we told her that we just could not eat it! We had never eaten anything so bad and she could see that we were not going to eat any further either. She was very gracious and gave us a 50% discount , considering our plates were not even 1/4th empty. This was really nice of her. Granted that the place can't be expected to be amazing (considering the menu prices, ambiance, etc), we were sad that it did not even serve anything of taste at all. Plus, even those 3- 4 morsels have made our stomachs hurt ( the only other thing we ate was the bread cause we were starving).
Pros: none
Cons: too many

I found my trip to Totino's to be a real mixed bag. First of all the waitress was extremely friendly and the service was quite good. I had a Meatball on the side which was quite tasty. Parking space is good for the part of town it is in. We had some good cheese bread before the meal. The Pizza though was nothing to write home about. Their was too much bread for my liking. While the Cheese was thick- it was just OK and the meats were nothing special. I might give Totino's another try because of the service, some good things beside the pizza and a reasonable price. But if you're looking for the Best Pizza in the Twin Cities-Look Elsewhere.
Pros: Great Service ! Good Meatballs, and Good Appetizers
Cons: Pizza far from special.

I went here after having listened to my friends rave for years about how good their pizza was. After one bite, I realized that I will never ask them for restaurant recommendation again. What? Do they not have taste buds? If you don't then this is the place for you. Otherwise, go to the grocery store and buy a few party time pizzas or stay in and order Domimo's - it's cheaper and tastes better and that's not saying much.
Pros: service
Cons: food

The food is obviously italian and very delicious. You can choose from pastas and pizza and salads, dinein or take out. Everything has a nice old fashioned atmosphere and old fashioned prices! Feels like a family kitchen!
Having so many chain restaraunts out there it is nice to see individual attention to detail in a single place.
