I had Zilya and her staff put hair extensions in last week. I have baby fine hair that seemed to stop growing at my shoulders. Zilya and her staff did an awesome job of first correcting my hair coloring and then adding extensions two days later. The extensions and hair cut took about 3 hours. I have received tons of compliments on them from friends and co-workers. Everyone says they blend in amazingly and that you can't even tell it's not my real hair. I would completely recommend Zilya for hair extensions if you are looking for someone experienced that knows what they are doing. As a side note, they aren't cheap (standard rates for a high end, experienced stylist), but you get what you pay for and this was well worth it!! She warned me that I might become addicted to them and I already am.

Carolyn is absolutely the best stylist I have ever had and I would be lost without her! She has had advanced training at Deva in NYC, and it really shows! Carolyn knows how to listen and how to communicate; it is obvious she enjoys her clients.

The Refinery is by far the best place to go for a full brazilian wax. The staff is very professional, friendly, and they care about you as a customer. Waxing was nearly pain free and absolutely the best I have ever received. The cost is definitely a plus too. I would highly recommend The Refinery to everyone I know.

Kelly is my stylist. She listened to my wishes and gave me the cut I wanted. Plus she colored my hair and it is back to its original color which is tough to match...golden auburn reddish. No one else got it right before, but Kelly mastered it the first time. If feels wonderful once you get a great haircut and color! Thanks Kelly!

Lacy didn't just cut my hair, she shaped it with precision, ease and an expertise that made me feel like putty in her hands. Her techniques were impressive, thoughtful and deliberate. It felt almost as though her cool razor tool was really a magic wand. Her magic wand. She waved it this way and that, and voila! I had a beautiful haircut. She's a gem. I'm so happy to have found her!

This salon offers quality cuts and the customer service is excellent. The waxing and nail services are great too. The atmosphere is very nice and it is always busy there. It can be alittle pricey depending on what tech you use. Becuase of its popularity, it is very hard to get in - you need to book well in advance.

I had my haircolor done by student Jazzmin- a budding haircolor expert. She was a bit reserved but I LOVED my cute new reddish and gold color. She knew just what I wanted before the Instructor came over and she needed no help. I'm coming back to her before she graduates!

Jutt Downtown has been my salonspa for two years. Typical I get my haircut by Pearson K. He has great skills {even works at NYC Fashion weeks every year} and looks good using them. I have really thick and course hair, so it is hard to find a stylist. He does an amazing job and listens well sometimes.
I have also gotten mani/pedis, facials and massages there and they were all wonderful. The front desk staff seem overworked or just senseless.
Pros: Atmosphere, Stylist's talent, and Location

The stylist was EXTREMELY knowledgeable-she cut my hair exactly as we agreed upon-and then showed me how to style it in a way I had never seen before-essentially making my stick straight hair curly without the use of hot rollers. It looked fabulous.
The atmosphere is very professional. Apparently-all the stylists who work at Juut have 6 months of additional training above and beyond their licensure requirements after they are hired by the salon. They even sent me a postcard a few weeks after my cut to make sure I was happy with it!
The price was right as well-only $35 for a cut and style that would have been $50+ anywhere else for the same quality.
I definitely will be going back.
