I've had the best haircuts of my life at Jon English Salon, thanks to Trinity -- the most incredible stylist you could ever find. I have curly hair, and she knows just what to do with it. And she always shows me a few different ways I can wear it with each new cut. She's even taken the time to flatiron it so I can show off a new do for a few days. Also, lots of extra pampering at the salon. Be prepared for a truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience.

Okay, so I'm one of those guys that had the same woman cut my hair since I can remember. So, naturally, I was more than hesitant to just wander into some place new and put my locks on the cutting block (so to speak). A couple of my friends had mentioned Jon English before...albeit a little on the expensive side, but they assured me that it was worth it and that they do a good job of pampering you while you're there. Now, you've got to know that I don't have just any kind of hair...I come from a long line of jewish men with thick, coarse and heavily wavy hair. This has always presented a problem when it comes to communicating how I would like my hair to look...so, as anyone can imagine I was incredibly nervous just showing up and asking for someone. I told the woman at the front desk that I was new to the salon and that I needed someone who had experience cutting wavy/curly hair. She recommended that I see Peach. It was a great recommendation, because I was very pleased with my haircut. I haven't had such a low-maintenance hairstyle in years, and I even got to keep some of the length without it looking too thick and shaggy. On top of the great cut, I got a complimentary scalp massage, a complimentary hand massage and a couple of amazing organic suckers that were literally the best-tasting candy I've had. I wouldn't have imagined that great service like this existed just down the street from my apartment. Bravo! Pros: Skilled and friendly staff, stylish decor, organic candy! Cons: a little pricy

I have never been treated so horribly by any salon. Not only was I ignored by the receptionist upon check-in, but I was waiting for my appointment for 70 minutes before anybody would even tell me my appointment was close. It was not worth the wait. I got the worst haircut ever. I was left with strands of long hair that I found on my own and had to cut myself afterwards. This was my 3rd attempt to patron this place. Every time they have been incredibly rude. Why go someplace and pay a lot of money to be treated so bad? Why be so rude? Treat people with respect and they may just come back!!! Pros: cant think of any Cons: Pretentious rude and arrogant and junior staff

Timothy was recommended by a "friend"..he was poor at best. Employees were rude, facility not as high class as I'd expect from the outside. Will not go back. Total waste of 50$ and a bad cut at that.

I gave this salon a few chances...and I won't be going back again. They rely too heavily on their reputation for being a trendy, good salon. It's simply not. Perhaps the worst considering there's a 50/50 chance you'll have a great result and they have horrible business practices. I understand everyone makes mistakes. That said, when mistakes happen, I expect them corrected. Not only to make the client happy, but so I'm not walking around with horrible hair...telling people which salon to avoid. I'm a brunette with once subtle, thin, blended highlights -- the result was a nice light brown. Yesterday, I went in to have them touched up and my greys dyed a light brown. What I'm staring at now are dark brown roots over an inch long, with bright light yellow streaks. Wow. I look like I need a dye job basically -- $150 later (with tip) When I told them yesterday that it looks horrible, they said they can't fix it until monday or tuesday. When I pushed to get it fixed that same day or Saturday I was told they don't fix mistakes on Saturdays because they fix it for free and are too busy. I am appalled. This was their second chance. The first time they left my color on so long, I had dull almost black hair (over saturated). And then they talked me out of lightening it...said I should use conditioner instead??? And expected me to purchase their conditioner. I shouldn't have given them a second chance.
