The pork is the best. I've tried lots of places. Both expensive and cheap but no one comes close to Rossi's. I've decided not to try anymore places because I have been disappointed so many times. Rossi's kitchen staff knows how to cook it just perfect so that it is not overcook but thick and juicy. The serving size is the same as dinner's so go during happy hour for a great deal.
Pros: Great Food

Town Hall Brewery has one of the best brunches in the area. The caramel rolls are to die for. My family and I have been stopping here before the Gopher games. They are open for brunch Saturdays for home Gopher games and Sundays for home Vikings games. There is also a free shuttle to all home gopher games on the 7 corners, running every 15 minutes. Bonus for us. Included in their brunch is a beer, bloody mary or screwdriver. I ordered a Masala Mama IPA. Hands down one of the best IPA's! My husband had a tasty Hope and King Scotch Ale. Very nice brown ale. If your looking for a good breakfast place before a game, Town Hall Brewery is your stop. Their lunch/dinner is great too! After one of the games, we stopped in and had a couple beers and burgers. Our waitress greeted us with a warm smile and gave us great service (everytime). My husband had the 7 Corners Burger and raved about it the rest of the day. I had a wonderful Mango Shredded Chicken sandwich. Great beer, great service, great food and warm atmosphere.

As a former afternoon drunk I can attest that the 'Happy Hour' has the strongest drinks on the planet and cheap, too. An alcoholics mecca, indeed! Whether you haven't visited the 'Happy Hour" in a day or a decade walking in is like walking into an Edward Hopper painting. Same folks, sitting in the same place, drinking the same drink. playing the same game, telling the same stories. Boring, but strangely comforting.
Pros: Fabulous pork chops!
Cons: They ran out of pork chops!

Joe's has a funky, industrial feel to it, but it's still comfortable and a great place to spend your Sunday morning. Their brunch is an all-you-can-eat affair that they bring to your table, family-style. It is outstanding and very reasonably priced!

My husband and I dined at Ciao Bella for the first time tonight before dropping him off at the airport. I ordered a pasta dish and he ordered a hamburger. The ingredients are fresh, the menu's unique, and the wait staff is phenomenal. I just about died in ecstacy over my pasta dish (prosciutto di parma) and almost licked the bowl. There was a minor snafu part-way through my husband's meal, and since we didn't have time to get a new one, the manager paid for our entire dinner, including drinks and dessert. It was completely unexpected, but very much appreciated.
You must try the Blueberry Cobbler with the Lemon Cheesecake Gelato. Quite possibly the best dessert I've had at any restaurant.
Pros: Great Service & Mgmt, Excellent Meals, Superb Dessert, Price

Once you get to know the staff, they really are the nicest downtown. The bouncers look out for their regulars, and the bartenders hook up the drinks. I often am there until about 2:30 am hanging out before going outside. Thursdays $5 bottomless tap is a great deal. Never had the food, never gone there to eat though either. Very relaxed atmosphere. You can wear a dress, or jeans and a hoodie. You get better service when you go places regularly so I made it a point to get to know the staff. It is generally packed Thurs-Saturday.
And YES- the bouncers will kick you out if you try to come in too drunk, too sloppy, clothes to baggy, clipped ID, you're being an a**hole, you look creepy, you start a fight, your id is faake- THEY DON'T MESS AROUND!
I HIGHLY recommend Brothers not only for its drink specials, but the exceptional service from the staff.
Pros: Drink specials, bartenders/bouncers
Cons: Needs a better smoking patio

Hi, my wife and I came in on 10/21/07 with our kids to watch the Hannah Montana concert! We had a blast. The food was great the service was great. They definitely seemed prepared to handle a big crowd! We had a very friendly server named Jody! The only downside was there seemed to be alot of Bears fans in the house! Although, more than adequate choices for us to see what we wanted to see on tv! There seemed to be managers on the floor, one specific very accommodating gentleman was I believed named Dan, short hair and very concerned with our satisfaction! They even have a little shop and a place to take 3d photos with yourself in the picture! My son loved that aspect!. I do believe this would be a fun place to go even outside of a big concert day! Thanks! Rich. B
Pros: Ambience! Selection of TVS to watch! Food! People!
Cons: Parking. Busy during event days!

This is a spot I enjoy after-hours, usually in a smaller group or just 1:1, but I discovered Brits is great at group gatherings:
I work downtown and earlier this summer we had a group of 80+ people gathered for dinner, drinks and lawn bowling. We had our private party upstairs on the private patio and the weather was perfect. We had a great view of the other patrons and the bowling lawn.
The buffet offered a lot of variety and was delicious. Enough dessert was put out for everyone, but Brit's failed to realize how popular the cheesecake would be as several people wanted a second slice, it was so delicious.
We had a lot of compliments that this was a great venue as no one was forced to mingle with others; some chose to mix with drinks on the patio, I and others took our drinks and had a blast lawn bowling.
The service was excellent as well.
Pros: Buffet Food/Staff/Location/Ambience
