I was having some problems with my electrical business, and went in to get the battery tested. Figuring there was something wrong with the battery or alternator, I was hoping to get a solid answer so I could make a valiant attempt at fixing it myself. They first told me I would have to pay a $12 to have the battery terminals cleaned so that they could test it, which kind of upset me (I was hoping to avoid having to pay anything at this point), but figured it's minor compared to what I was facing. Turns out everything checked out okay, even though they could've told easily taken me for much more.
It's nice to find a shop that I feel I can trust, and I will be going back for any other repairs in the future.
Pros: Honesty, Integrity, Reliable

and they have never done us wrong. They give honest advice, and as many options as possible. They are not afraid to show you exactly what they are doing, and answer all your questions directly. Not long after my last repair (new brakes, calipers, rotors, and tie rod ends) another mechanic asked me what I was charged (I believe in the hopes that he could sway me away by quoting a better price) - his reaction - "Wow, they're really giving it all away over there, aren't they?". What happens when you do quality work and you charge an honest price for it? You get repeat business and referrals. That's how business should be done. I always tell peope to go to Elsen's. They're the best around, in my opinion.

A friend recommended them for repairs when I had starting issues with my truck. Called them up and they came over quickly and picked up my truck, took it in and was able to completely resolve the issue that day. Prices are really reasonable and was very satisfied and happy with the quality of service. It's a rare to find a shop that takes pride in their work and it shows!

We like this car wash because the location and price is great for us. They do a great job getting the car clean and go out of their way in customer service which I think is a lost art nowadays.
One funny thing that happened is that we went through here years ago with a car that had a loose rear bumper. It came a bit pulled out during the process so westoped in the parking lot to push it back in. The manager came running over apologizing like crazy and assuring us they would pay for the repairs. Tempting-lol-but it was not their fault. At the time a very nice manager!

The situation of course makes you want to throw a fit-lol- but other than that, we were very happy with our experience with this business last week.
The story goes that our whole family -Me, Hubby & 2 small boys- are in Downtown Minneapolis for hair-cuts and a farmers market trip this last Thursday. When we left our house that morning the car made a brief funky noise when we started it but thought nothing of it,seemed fine otherwise. Well, with shorter hair and laden with bags of fruits and veggies we pile back into our car after a long day. Turn the key. Nada. Lights, door dings- then nothing else.
After a bit of fiddling it was quite obvious we weren't going anywhere. The starter had completely died.
We called our garage to see if their rental was in and how to go about getting a tow and they gave us the number to Cardinal Towing.
We were quite stressed and our 2 kids were in desperate need of naps. We figured it would first take forever to get a truck [did I mention were were in a 6'5 clearance ramp?]and then Hubby would have to ride with the tow truck to the garage, pick up the rental and come back for us [most trucks would not have room for us all]. Or I could wrestle 2 cranky kids home on the city bus which I was really not into. Dread.
BUT- to our surprise the experience was the opposite! The tow truck arrived within 20 minutes max & It was a full extended Cab with 2 bench seats! Fast and plenty of room! The driver was very friendly and checked our car out before towing us to make sure we couldn't fiddle with it and get it started and avoid the tow cost!
Alas, still nothing so he pushed our car out of the parking space and hooked it up - again in record time. The drive was short and he chatted amiably the whole way. When we got tho the garage he did a miraculous parking job and just put the tow on our garage bill so we didn't even have to pay him up front.
This business gets 5 stars for speed, customer service, friendliness, and convenience!

I had to get my cylinder head replaced on my 2002 2.0 Jetta about two weeks ago. Knowing this was a bigger job than I was capable of doing, I brought it to the VW Man, explained my problem, and they were happy to work the issue out. I didn't know how much it would run me, but I knew for a fact that anything would be cheaper than Westside Volkswagen—what a bunch of hags.
I dropped my car off on a Wednesday and got it back the following Monday! I honestly couldn't believe the speed at which the job was done. They even let me know that it would be a while since they were extremely busy that week. I told them I understand, and honestly wasn't expecting a call until late the following week.
The price was completely fair, I mean it's a cylinder head, so it certainly wasn't cheap, but not blown-out to be something unreasonable. The service was honest and genuine. They told me exactly what was being done and why. I couldn't be any happier with the result and would recommend this great group of guys to anyone!
Pros: genuinely nice, fast, reasonable, professional
Cons: location, but they can't really help that anyway

I've had a wonderful experience with Walser Toyota in Bloomington. They gave me a fair price on my car and when I come to town they always wash and clean my car!! I live in Iowa and I've never had that kind of treatment anywhere!! They have always been honest and fair in any of my dealings.
