I went to gameworks for the first time today. I heard it was kind of expensive but they have this deal where you can get food and a gmae card that is good for three hours. If you like to play games it is a good deal. It's a cool place for downtown happy hour because its not boring. The deal was for $15.00

This is such a great place to bring your kids in the winter. With the indoor greenery you can actually feel like spring is just around the corner. The kids can go iceskating or swimming, or you can just play wtih them at the indoor playground. Now that they offer the punch cards it's very reasonable to go several times throughout the year.

The aquarium's exhibit this summer with SpongeBob SquarePants was a huge hit with my family! We liked it so much that we used our wristbands and went through 3 times and ended up purchasing the Family Membership so that we can continue to visit throughout the year. My kids also liked touching the sharks and stingrays in the Touchpool.

ii really enjoy this place!! ii have been goin there since ii was really young, ii belive it was right after Rythem Land closed that was a very sad day :( ii have been skating since ii was 2 years old and ii am very pickey where ii skate, the floors have to be clean and smooth and the people are great to talk to and the staff are wonderful, they work hard to keep there customers satisfied. the music is tight and what ii like best is the security they have to protect the kids who go there and the staff dont leave until the very last person is picked up, its like we are all one BIG family, although ii think on friday nights there should be an age limit like 16 and up for the 7- 11pm secion because we older kids cant really do our thing with little kids comming out of no where, but thats all that ii would change. cheapskate is a great place to meet new people also.

This is a great place to go if you happen to also be going to the Mall of America. Its not as good as others like the Duluth Aquarium but still one of the better ones around. The glass tunnel is the coolest thing, where you walk through a transparent tunnel and look at sharks and various other sea life. The kids seem to like the petting ponds and hands 0 on things though. I would say this is a place for kids and not for teens to young adults.

This is a very interesting, quirky, museum in Minneapolis. Founded by Earl E. Bakken who invented the first transistorized pacemaker.
Centered around learning about electricity and magnetism there are several exhibits and hands on activities to interest kids and adults. You can play a Thermin [first elcetronic musical instrument], generate a 60,000 volt spark or visit Frankensteins Laboratory.
I agree it isn't huge or overly impressive but is a nice stop to add when checking out a historic neighborhood of Minneapolis or if you are studying the concepts with a class of children.

Four times a week the Roller Garden has adult only skating. Some times are for 18 and over, some times are for 25 and older. Each timeslot has a different type of music. Check out their website or call them for the skating schedule. Of course they also have times for kids and families to skate. It is great exercise and a lot of fun!
Pros: Fun, some adults only times, ample parking
