We have been taking our animals to Dr. Smith for over 20 years. She has always given the same compassionate, non-rushed service that she always has. She knows her animals, has seen a lot of illnesses, etc. and has a wealth of experience. Dr. Smith and her staff are the greatest.

The doctor just called for her 3rd follow up call since my cat's treatment!
Seriously, I can't find this degree of service for myself. Let's hope HMO's never get involved in veterinary care!

I took my Italian Greyhound there for her first exam and the experience turned out much better than I thought it would! First of all, they are very compassionate and do know a lot about the breed of my dog. Maggie was a little scared of the scale and not once did they show any kind of agitation or impatience towards her. They were completely understanding. Dr. Smith in turn was very thorough with her examination and did indeed answer all of my questions in a very caring way. Most impressive was the fact that they DO NOT just tell you to get vaccinations or certain services to make more money from you. They totally care about your pet and do not make you pay for services that are unnecessary. That tells me a lot about them and their wonderful character. Not only that, but Maggie's visit turned out to be much less expensive than I thought it would. So all I can say is, "Thank you Uptown Vet"!

My pug came from the Human Society, and with him came a host of issues, not the least of which is a lot of fear and timidity. The staff at Uptown Vet, and Dr. Smith, have won his trust (and mine!) by treating him gently, compassionately, and with a great deal of professional expertise. Dr. Smith is amazingly intuitive and very knowledgeable. The environment is relaxed and non-threatening which puts my pup at ease, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I always get a follow-up call that isn't just routine...they actually seem to care about the results and his progress. I recommend Uptown Vet highly.

This is a different vet. It is set in an old mansion that is not the sterile hospital setting that can scare a nervous pet. It is like visiting a friend. There are seperate cat and dog waiting rooms which my cats have always appreciated. It is not unusual to have a followup call from the vet to see if my kitty is feeling better and if the medication is working. A few days ago I sadly had to put my elderly kitty to sleep. The saff went above and beyond the call to comfort me and my kitty. They were gentle and compassionate and my kitty was not afraid. In fact, she was purring to the last as they painlessly helped her cross over. Then today I recieved a sympathy card. Yes I am bawling all over again. I simply don't think anyone does this better. Give them a try!

We have been taking our vizsla pup to Uptown Vet since we got him-and their service has always been great. The Vet takes never rushes her examinations, and is great about explaning her diagnosis and in answering all our questions. We have had 2 operations performed here-a neutering, and a benign tumor removal-and both turned out very well. The staff obviously loves animals, and it shows, both in their interactions with your pet, as well as in their followup regarding any phoned-in questions.
The clinic's interior design is really great as well. The clinic is divided into seperate areas for dogs and cats. The whole building is very cheerful-with yellow painted stucco walls, old fashion wood trim, and mocha colored, acid stained concrete floors. The waiting area quite large and open-and there is always plenty of water and treats for your pet.
