A few friends and I went here for brunch on a Saturday. We had their quiche with fresh fruit and breakfast potatoes. The servings were huge and even with coffee it only cost us about $12 each. It's a beautiful location too - not far from the art museum, right near the Lake.

I have to disagree with the previous poster - I have been staying at this hotel once a year for the past several years and have always found it to be perfectly clean. The owner/operators are almost always there and are very kind and helpful, so I was sad to see them given such a bad review. They really don't deserve it. I have always enjoyed my stay in this friendly, nicce hotel. And it's a great bargain for the area, as well.
Stay there - you won't regret it! :O)

The Rooms are larger then the standard hotel room, and offer a sofa and a great desk thet you can catch up on E-Mails and work without having to place the laptop on you lap while sitting in Bed. The staff is great and willing to help where needed. Bring your Dogs the General Manager loves them, and has a Saint Benard of his own that he can tell you about.
Pros: Large rooms, free breakfast, Free High speed wireless internet
Cons: No Pool

Our family had so much fun at this hotel. The Holiday Inn Express has a little water park, a small pool, a jacuzzi, and the softest beds! Our small kids loved the water park and because the water was so shallow, we would relax a little. The staff was friendly too; we showed up late for the continental breakfast and the cook went out of her way to make sure we still had sausage and eggs. This is a wonderful hotel, especially if you have a family.

The Anchorage restaurant, located within the hotel, is the reason to stay. The Hilton offers a package deal that includes breakfast - take advantage of it, because the food is fantastic. We had lunch outdoors on the patio next to the river. The food was great, the service was fantastic & the view was nice. We had breakfast inside, the restaurant is pretty with views of the river. The service inside was good. The breakfast buffet could have offered more choices but was good. The room is large but average, nothing special. The bedcovers could certainly use an upgrade. The pool area is fine, they could use a cart to offer guests pool towels (we found the last 4 on a windowsill ledge). We did like the small patio connected to the indoor pool area. All in all, this was a nice place to stay.

The Hilton Milwaukee City Center is located in downtown Milwaukee on Wisconsin Avenue. I booked my rooms through net direct on the Hilton website. Bad experience!! After discovering that my child had the chicken pox, I was not allowed to cancel my reservations for a full refund. Apparently they wanted their guests exposed to the chicken pox. How crazy!! I would never use the net direct service or stay in a Hilton Hotel again!
PROS:
CONS: $20 parking!!!
