I'd been to the Ambassador many years ago and it was nice enough. I'd heard that it had been renovated a while back and business brought me near downtown. Comparing the renovated Ambassador to the late-70s, I was very tempted to go outside and see if it was the same hotel. I've never seen a more successful renovation in my life. The bar is very well-arranged for socializing or for a romantic conversation. The bartender was extremely professional.( I tended bar for a few years, she was wonderful) But the room I received was down-right elegant. The Ambassador could easily take a place on 7th Avenue in Manhattan, with its Hiltons and other big-league hotels. The service was excellant, the room lovely and with good views, parking was adequate even in light of the rather crowded neighborhood. I'd recommend this hotel and I'll stay there next I am in that area.

Courtyard by Marriott is a great place to stay.
It is very clean and the staff is quite friendly. We always ask for extra pillows and towels, etc., and the staff was more than accommodating.
This hotel is perfectly located for access to events downtown.
It has a spacious lobby, bright, clean rooms and the staff was extremely attentive.
My son loved the pool. It is adjacent to a large mall with food court.
I highly recommend The Courtyard.

We used Park Place Hilton for our guests to book rooms for our wedding. They kept me informed of who booked rooms and everything. If 10 rooms were booked they would have provided and hourly shuttle to the reception hall and a free room for my husband and me. Our families must have not realized they needed to book before a certain date. None the less, our family did keep us updated to the hotels they picked, so it was easy to tell them about the gift opening and to give them their out of town baskets (courtesy of my sister).

Looking for a getaway without getting away? Hotel Metro is a great stop. With a fabulous wine bar and delicious food at their restaurant, you can have a luxurious getaway without leaving the city.
Some rooms are equipped with a spa-like atmosphere. The showers are huge and there is a two person whirlpool right in-room. Luxurious? You bet. A budget-breaker? No way.
Since it's renovation, the hotel now boasts Kohler amenities. For a quick peek, head into the lobby restroom.... it's beautiful.
Great staff. Excellent amenities. The heart of the city.

WE loved it!! There is other RI in the area but we got the BRAND NEW FEEL for a fraction of the cost.

Great little restaurant for those who are tourists. The spinning restaurant is at the top of the Hyatt and it over looks the city of Milwaukee. We went here at night, so it was neat to see the city lights. Service was great, very friendly and talkative. We only ordered drinks and tirisimu. Good food, but if you are the motion sickness type, just be careful. I liked how it was unique, but the spinning restaurant might not mix well with food and drinks.
Pros: Polaris Restaurant
Cons: May get dizzy from the spinning

I travel all over the Midwest and this is my favorite place to stay. The rooms are nice enough but its the service you get here that I love most. The doorman is always helpful, they know me by name, give me upgrades, etc. It also seems to be the place for business. The hotel lobby has a water atrium, bar and lots of good looking people. I usually get my room for $150 a night. I highly recommend this place.

My husband and I have stayed at the Hospitality Inn and Suites on our wedding night. They have 10 or 11 different fantasy suites. Everything from Hawaiian themed room to the Roman Empire.
These rooms are just fun and start at about one hundred bucks. You can just book a night to get away from the kids, sit in the whirlpool and watch tv, or really enjoy the fantasy and pretend that you ARE on an Apollo mission! HA!
