I love coming to this farmers market just to take in all the fresh produce, plants, herbs and to check out the interesting array of people that come to shop.
This market opens the first Saturday in May through the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
They are open from 1 pm to 8 pm on Tues, Thurs, and Sat. Though, I don't think that I have seen anyone still here as late as 8 pm.
Obviously, come early for the best selection. And the vendors are plentiful! You will definitely find what you are looking for at a great price.
(The schedule for the flea market is May through Oct - every Sunday from 8 am to 5 pm)

The West Alis farmers market is always a great place to spend a boring summer weekend day at. They have fruits and vegetables at prices that, in my opiion, are better than the major food chains. It's always better to support your local independent farmers and citizen growers anyways. Overall its a lot of fun and a good opportunity to get healthy foods outdoors.

The Farmers Market is open on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.
There is a great variety of local grown vegetables. Of course, depending upon what is in season is what you will find. Oftentimes there are herbs and flowers, honey, gourmet popcorn as well as other tasty treats.
The prices are reasonable - (better than going to the grocery store for things that aren't as fresh) - and the farmers are enjoyable to chat with.
It is in the open air, but covered so a drizzle shouldn't be a problem. Bring your umbrella if it is raining heavier than that, though.
My kids love going.. the aisles are wide enough for a stroller so make it a family outing!

Some people set up with live plants for purchase.
Some people have bakery items you can purchase or jellies that they have made.
The prices arn't too bad. Ya just have to remind yourself you are buying locally. And that makes it easier to buy.
The stuff is of good quality.

Open on Saturday's only for the farmer's market.
Sundays are a flea market..which is fun too! And you can get fresh produce and plants then also.
Nearly every weekend a few of the Amish from the surrounding area will come in with all their fresh goods for sale. Which includes, jams, jellies, fresh baked goods such as breads, pies, cakes, muffins, and more.
