I got an eye examination, as well as an eye glass purchase from here.
The eye examination was the most basic I have ever had. It was Ok, but if you have eye problems I would highly reccomend going to an independent eye doc ... this guy spent minimal with you and definitely had a schedule to follow ... his main objective was to sell you a pair if eye glasses when finished.
I came here because it was on my insurance list - one weird thing about that is you can only pay the list price for frames if using insurance ... not the sale price. The frames here can be very expensive without insurance.
For the most part I was very happy with the opticians, except that they tended to steer you to the more expensive frames (possibly because they knew that I had insurance) ... when that happened I just left and came back to browse another time.
I guess I would buy another pair of glasses here, but it is really hard to say ... I may shop around a bit more. I am very happy with the lenses, and I hope they last a long time.

This is a VERY true story. We dropped our extremely healthy (runs daily) 6 1/2 yr old black lab off on Aug 7th, 2009 to be kenneled while we were on a weekend vacation in Eau Claire. On 8/9/09 at 10:30 AM our way home we receive a call from Dr. Daniel Banceu (licensed on 8/20/08) stating that our dog was "bleeding from the anus, unresponsive, dehydrated...and DEAD". Dr. Banceu informed us that he "has never seen a dog bleed out like that". According to Dr. Grewal (and I asked him several times directly), that the protocol is to give an IV, some penicillin and "support". Not to stop the bleeding, find the cause, pump the stomach because of possible toxins/poisoning...nothing like that. There is "no official" cause of death according to Dr. Grewal, however in Dr. Banceu's notes, he lists "possibly cause: toxins". During a meeting with Dr. Grewal on 8/10/09, when asked about a replacement dog, his response was extremely agressive / threatening. He began pointing his finger in a scolding way at myself and my brother and began stating "you are not getting anything out of me", "this matter is over", "I will not listen to your proposal". We feel like our dog got into something at the office and died. They are taking NO responsibility, they are not stating any cause of death, they are still trying to charge us $150.00 for the kenneling/support care for that weekend. Now we get to explain to a 4 yr old little boy why is dog won't be coming home. I get to live with the fact that my best friend won't be coming home. Please listen to our story and hear the message. Find a new veterinary clinic that cares about it's clients.

If you or know someone who is unable to visit the doctor, have the doctor visit them. This facility is out of this world when it comes to those who are disabled or unable to make it to the doctor's office. Many people who would not seek medical attention due to transportation, physical disabilities, etc. get the medical attention that is needed through this facility. Pass the word on!

This is just like the old time pharmacy where they know everyone that comes in by their first name. They have stayed in business even when the Osco went up across the street. The Osco is already closed! They are in a newly remodeled building and very easy to find.
PROS: Quick efficient service.

This is our family vet and we love going here. Even our cats don't mind the trip!
This practice ONLY sees cats and the entire staff is dedicated to the health and well being of your kitty.
We see Dr Christensen and really like her. I understand that there is a new doctor as well, Dr. Siebert, though we have not had the pleasure of meeting her yet.
The care is great, the prices are fair. And the hours are super!
Monday & Wednesday 7:30 am - 7:00 pm
Tuesday & Wednesday & Friday 7:30 am - 6 pm
Saturday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
They also have a cute gift shop with lots of fun kitty things. As well as your typical food and supplies, etc.
Give them a call when kitty needs that check up!
(This clinic is in the third ward near Milwaukee Ale House)

I was thrilled when Target first started their $1 Spot. I love dollar sections for when I need a inexpensive reward for my son. Their dollar section has season products and themed products, like Princess Party or BBQ. The quality seems decent for dollar items. The selection and quality is certainly better than most dollar stores. However recently Target changed their dollar spot to include $2.50 items. This change has not been well received by myself. The quality seems to be the same or lower than previous dollar items but with an extra $1.50 added to the price. I still enjoy shopping at Target, I just wish they had not messed with a good thing!

And a Starbucks to boot! I am seconding the vote for Target as a store with great style at a price that won't break the bank. We've gone to them for everything from sporting goods to lamps. Their prices on the basics are quite good which makes them an ideal spot to stock up on basics. Their mini-grocery doesn't carry as many organics as I'd like to see, but does make it easy to pick up something before the next grocery day if you're there anyway.
My best two Target tips -- check out the closeout end of aisle displays -- I've regularly gotten galvanized buckets, scrapbooking supplies, and other odd deals at next-to-free discounts -- these are great for gifts, and great to use yourself too.
Furniture -- don't want to lug that big item home -- check it out on-line. Often they offer free shipping! (Of course it means you can't scratch that "get it now" itch, but you do get to have a couple days of eager anticipation until it arrives :)
