I can still rememeber how it smells. My folks started ordering from Mama in the 1960's and continued until they retired from the Milwaukee area. It was always a treat to know that we were going to have this pizza for supper. I used to love it even cold with a big glass of milk. It is hard to find a place these days that uses canned mushrooms on their pizza, it just seems wrong to put fresh ones on it. I have been living in Louisville, Kentucky for 10 years now and still have not found anything that pales in comparison to De Marini's. You folks back home in Milwaukee be thankful this great pizza place is there. Enjoy !!
Pros: Great food, Great atmosphere, I loved the bayview area.
Cons: parking can be a problem when very busy

My Father, Brothers and Myself have been going out for breakfast on Sundays for sometime now. We've tried many places in, around and out-of town including as far out as The Pinecone, (If you live in Wisconsin, You know the place). I've always said "Hey we should go to Paul's. You'll never want to go anywhere else for breakfast after you try them." Unfortunitely everytime we drove past and remembered that the parking lot is always full, we end up going somewhere else. Long story short; We finally decided to go there anyway, and found out that we waited longer to pay the check than get a seat, "Which was only about two or three minutes. "I've always raved about the hashbrowns and after my father ate there, he agrees that the hashbrowns are infact great, "And he's a chef for one of Milwaukee's private clubs, so he should know". Longer story short; Paul's Omega is my pick as Milwaukee's best spot for breakfast 24hours a day. Friendly waitstaff, HUGE portions for the price, and overall Great food. Don't plan on parking close to the entrance unless you get there early would be the only Con I could think of. My guess is that the bad revues have come from ex-employees. Then again I never tried the place before Paul took over so maybe the food was brought out on a golden platter with, "The only way it could be ANY better"
Pros: Great Food, Friendly Waitstaff, Large Portions
Cons: Parking lot always packed, Restrooms located behind coffee station so you feel like you're wondering where you don't belong, "Only bothered me".

Mama Mia's has been around forever, and is a favorite with many locals. A relatively inexpensive lunch buffet typically offers a variety of pizzas, garlic bread, salad, pasta and sauces, chicken or fish, soup, and yummy lasagna. The specifics vary daily, but generally they've got something you'll like. Currently around $9, I believe. You can also order off the menu, and they usually have a special or two for lunch, but we always do the buffet.
Dinners are excellent. They offer a great pizza known as the EBA (Everything But Anchovies), which is a very nicely done supreme pizza. Entrees generally include garlic bread, and are usually around $10. Some evenings they offer fish frys or AYCE pasta. Overall, an excellent way to eat well inexpensively.
The primary problem is parking; the lot is only accessible via a city alley. Street parking on Greenfield is not recommended, and parking on the side streets may be the best option. The restaurant itself also has a relatively small seating capacity, so expect that you might be waiting for a table during peak times. These are minor problems compared to the food.

Went to Mimma's Café again – party of six – had an excellent table, waiter was very polite and really did not bother us too much, we had the table for two+ hours with no complaints from the waiter and we were able to have conversation without having him up in our bznz. Or pushing us to leave; he was great! Gave him a $60.00 tip! Food again was excellent – took my folks there for the first time and they really enjoyed the atmosphere. It is a great place for family or a romantic evening for two; I again totally recommend this café!!
Pros: Service, Food and Atmosphere
Cons: n/a

While this is usually a very crowded and packed restaurant - it is definatly worth the wait to eat here. The daily specials are outstanding and offer a wide variety of Cajun/Creole and Seafood options. I am not a huge seafood person - but the way the dishes are prepared here - I have not found a fish dish that I did not enjoy. They are prepared very well and feel that they are adequate size. Desserts if you have room usually do not disappoint either. It is in located in a revitalized area of Downtown West Allis - so while safe do lock up your vehicle. At times parking could be difficult.
Pros: great food fun decor
Cons: usually very busy and parking could be difficult

This is my first message.
The service is fast and favorable. Everyone seems to know their jobs and does them well. The people at the registar are efficient and knowable about the products.
The food was very affordable. Large variety and good size quanities. We were impressed by the freshness of the ingredients in our dishes. We loved the pepperoni pizza and the hot wings were still lingering on the tongue long after we left. The beer was cold and the ice cream refreshing. We love the atmosphere! It is a great place for adults and college kids to hang out. We loved the fact they were open so late at night. A good place to stop after the movie or activities downtown. The elevator was a welcome sight to one of the people in our group. The french fries are some of the best I have had in town. They were crisp and we couldn't get over the amount you were given! The ceaser salad was fresh, plentiful and had a delightful taste. All in all this is one of the most reasonably priced with the largest variety of good tasting food we have come to enjoy in a long time.
This isn't the type of place I would take young children.
The televisions were nice. A great place to spend a couple of hours.
Pros: the hours are great ambience is good service is wonderful
Cons: parking is difficult if they are busy

Beautiful German Decor and matching food.
I haven't been in Ratzschs in some 7 years but they did not lose their touch in that time. Perfect environment for truly memorable dinner. My wife, who is of German descent had never been their before and was absolutely stunned by the beauty of the surroundings, the quality of the food, excellent attentive service and the wonderful background live piano treating us to traditional German waltz's and Gershwin classics. Fabulous. Pricy?? OK. YOu get what you pay for. It was worth every penny.
One negative: THey were out of Goose Shank which is their signature meal. I will be back

Food is great! The night manager is a very helpful and gracious young lady who went above and beyond to make our visit an enjoyable evening. I have returned there several times during the week and find her there each and every time. With help like her this establishment will continue to be as successful as it appears to be. On a bad note I noticed the management change on the weekend and was not pleased with the treatment of the customers nor the staff. Very abrupt and rude young lady takes over on the weekend. I love the food (especially the gyros and skillets) and the staff at night (only on the weekdays) so I will continue to visit only during those times. Of course during the day time the staff is as wonderful as the night so beware of the weekend manager only. The variety and taste of the food will continue to always be a pleaser, so just adjust the tyrant on the weekend and we'll be fine.
Pros: food, weekday hostess and waitstaff, hours
Cons: short weekend manager needs to work on people skills
