The Mitchell Park Domes make for a great afternoon walk. There are three domes and each one has it's own theme.
The first, is a backyard style theme. With rows of vegetables growing, beautiful tress, and domestic florals. All set in a gorgeous picturesque atmosphere.
The second, is a dry landscape, such as you would find in a dessert. Beautiful plantings and a wonderful pathway.
The third, is a tropical, wet forest type area. Full of birds, butterflies and bugs. This one is my favorite. Blooms from all kinds of plants and trees are abundant. The chirping of the birds is enchanting and enhances the trill of trying to locate the birds hiding in the vibrant foilage.
If you are a military person, retired or active, stop at the USO down by the lakefront..where the museum is, they will give you tickets for FREE admission.

This is a premiere ice skating rink capable fulfilling all the needs that you might have for skating.
Instruction is available. And there is also free skate periods where you can just play around on the ice if you like.
A great place to go in the dead of summer. Nothing like cooling off all the way down to the bones and getting some great cardiovascular excercise while having fun.
Wonderful place to go and play. Great parking also.

The Miller Brewery Tour is a great way to introduce people to the city. It is free and at the end the best part is the sampling of various Miller products (there is soda for children and those that do not drink).
The tour is informative, but there is a lot of walking, so caution to those who cannot do so.
The parking is plentiful in one of the visitor lots.
There is a gift shop as well in which to pick up some souveniors.

It is a tradition. If you live in the area you go. That's all there is to it. Parking is not good. They do have a huge parking lot. And the people in the area will let you park in their yard for $10 to $20 for the day.
This year there were people giving you rides on bikes from where you parked your car.
Lots going on. You have to get a cream puff. It is all the rage.

I've been going to Grand Slam for years and I have fun everytime I'm there. They have basketball, batting cages, arcade games, food and beverages and other fun things to do. It isn't like a Chuck E Cheeses it has alot to offer adults, especially features like the high speed batting cages which are fun for more serious players.

My husband and I ate there with friends for the first time last week. We were very pleased. The waiter was on top of getting our drinks and the food was replenished in a timely manner. We went on STEAK & CRAB LEGS Night (3:30pm - 10:00pm) $19.99 This is on Sat. At first the price was a little scary....but the crab legs and steak made it worth it! I had fillet wrapped in bacon and legs and butter. We really got our moneys worth....
plus salad,ribs,ham,fish,potatoes,pasta,stuffing, dessert and a lot more. I know we will be back to try another specialty night!

Indian Summer festival is good for kids and parents alike. It's a lot of fun and you get to learn more about a culture that people often know little about. The food is amazing, the people are friendly, the opportunities to get involved with crafts for you and your kids is extraordinary. You can also purchase hand made items straight from those who make them, and trust me some of this stuff is just beautiful. Stick around and check out the dancing as well, it's amazing.

Once owned by Milwaukee's king of beer Captain Frederick Pabst, the Pabst mansion was bought to be preserved in 1978. The tour of the mansion and its wonderful architecture and woodwork are simply amazing. I would suggest going on the behind the scenes tour so you can learn about other various Victorian customs also.

Currie is a well maintained golf course but it usually isn't a challenge for those who have been golfing for a while. If you just wanna play 9 holes with some friends this is a great place to go and relax. It's also a good course for kids or those who have recently started playing.
