My husband and I drove down to Ohiopyle for the weekend and found this darling little treasure. The place it require a reservation but we were able to do that the day before. This property is located on a rickety bad road, not suggested for winter time but the property would probably be just as great then. There is ample parking at the visitor center they also have a little store there that carries a lot of nature items. You meet your tour guide here and go with a group to tour the house and property. The tour is great and interesting and they allow time to look around at your leisure. The architecture and the art work is worth the trip alone even without seeing the waterfall though the house.

Loved every minute. Beautiful! Greatest architecture you'll see in PA without a doubt. Breathtaking and a good day trip from Pittsburgh. Well worth admission!

Situated in the greenery of Western Pennsylvania, this well known site is truly the epitome of his goals of naturalistic architecture. Built on the cusp of a waterfall, it seems to complement the natural scenery around it, as opposed to overcome. Tours are well worth the money, though picture-taking is only allowed outside.

Located in the foothills of the Alleghenies, Fallingwater is a spectacular example of the architecture for which Frank Lloyd Wright is world renowned. Sitting atop a waterfall, set amongst the greenery of western PA, it's well worth the trek from Pittsburgh to see this most famous of his private residence designs. As the goal is to "become one with nature," there is a limited tourist focus, but that just adds to the peaceful ambiance.

Fallingwater is a gorgeous building designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The house is designed in a fashion that mimics the natural landscape, and makes use of a natural waterfall/stream. The inside of the house is decorated in a very 1950s style. Anybody with an interest in architecture should definitely visit and take a tour. Also, the nearby woodlands are pristine. There are some great trails to hike on.

Fallingwater is one of Frank Lloyd Wright's most famous works. It's very impressive architecture though the decor is very 50's-esque. I recommend not going on a hot summer day since there is no air conditioning and the rooms absolutely bake. I had a friend nearly pass out and she was unable to complete the tour.
