The chef must have been involved in many Italian food preparations. My wife had the zuppa di pesce and there was so many shrimp and scallops the clams and mussels were also a nice addition .I recommend ENZOS for everyone even if you are on a budget ENZOS is the place. see if chef RICARDO can come to the table to create you a special dish!!!!

My son and I go to Kelly McCarthy at Salon Allure for our hair cuts.
I also get my hair highlighted, something I've done for 25 years. In that time, I figure I've been to at least 50 different hair dressers. Kelly is by far the best, for several reasons. She is very warm, extremely patient and listens intently to my requests. My hair comes out exactly as I want, and I never feel rushed. My hair color is consistently the best it has ever been and my cut is wonderful.
She also cuts my son's hair -- no small feat considering Connor is 2 1/2 years old! She is so patient and this is very important. It make the experience stress free and everyone that sees my son asks where we get his hair cut.
The environment at Salon Allure is extremely inviting. The only constructive criticism I have is that the lighting is weak, which means I have to wait until I get outside to fully appreciate the color of my hair.
Pros: professionalism, patience, skill

This museum is small, but a nice activity for famlies with young children who live nearby or happen to be in the area. The founder is really nice and cares about what she does. I don't know what the exhibits are now because it has been a long time since I was there to volunteer, but I remember there being a variety of fun hands-on activities for the kids.

It's not an amazing beer bar compared to places like San Francisco's Toronado, but for the Hartford area, it's your only choice if you're a beer geek when it comes to a real multi-tap bar with well chosed beers.
Not only do they offer a good selection of beers, but their hot sauce selection is also pretty darned good - and they can cook up a pretty solid set of chicken wings. It's been a few years since I've been there, but I still remember the place fondly.

I could live at Amici's. The food is excellent and the staff is really friendly. The atmosphere is decent, alittle crowded at times, but once you taste the food you couldn't careless about the seating arrangements!!!!

I recently moved to Middletown for grad school, and many of the students in my classes recommended Jerry's when I asked about a good local pizza place. I thought it was terrible, and couldn't even eat half of a piece. The crust has a strange sweet taste to it (which I'm told is a Connecticut thing, and the only other people I've met that understand what I mean by the 'sweet' taste are people who are from the midwest, or the west coast like myself). Luckily it was ordered for a departmental event at school and I didn't waste my money on it. I have yet to find any good pizza here in Middletown...

I've been going to Jerry's, well, probably since before I had teeth. My Dad has been going since he was a toddler. Jerry and his family know us by name. You might now be saying to yourself, "Well, she must be biased." Maybe, but you need to go down to Jerry's to decide for yourself. Jerry's is probably the BEST Pizza place in central Connecticut -- it rivals Sally's and Peppy's. It b-l-o-w-s any West Hartford pizza out of the water. Ambiance is lacking, but the pizza is amazing. It is a thin, soft crust, and well, just perfect. Their pasta dishes are great too. Jerry and the waitstaff are always friendly. If you're up for an adventure and thinking about checking out some of the new changes to downtown Middletown, stop into Jerry's first. You won't be disappointed!

From the outside and the decor on the inside, this place strikes you as a 50's diner. However, the name and the menu tell you otherwise. The menu is huge and offers Greek, Italian, Jewish, American...and I'm sure there are other foods that I am forgetting. I had the fettuccini, and the portion was so large that it lasted me about four meals! Great food in a casual setting---a great place to bring a bunch of your friends. Don't come here expecting a quiet meal though! :)
