Jungle Island is awesome!!! I was able to touch just about every animal. Two animals I probably will never forget were twin orangutan Peanut and Pumpkin. They were so adorable…but enough about Peanut and Pumpkin. I loved each and every show, Winged Wonders, Tale of the Tiger, and the Gator X-treme. The staff was nice and a attentive. I wouldn’t mind paying 29.95 again.

For those if you who went to visit Jungle Island when it first opened, you need to go back. It has evolved to a beautiful place. At first, I thought it would never be what the old one was, but the foliage has filled in so much, that you really start to feel like you are somewhere else. They have added more animals and more interactive shows. It is definitely worth a trip back. I ended up purchasing an annual pass because it was a better deal for the money. They have added a Hippo Slide, (Wet in Summer, Dry in Winter) which is so much fun! And my nephew loved being up close with the animals. This is so different from the zoo where you see all the animals from far away. Here you actually get to pet some of them! Definitely worth a second trip back!

It is a while since we visited this park We still have great memories.
Treat yourself and your family to a great day outdoors. Attend any of the park shows that enable your kids to interact with parrots, reptiles, other birds, fish and flamingos. They also had a chimpanzee and a baby tiger. My wife Sue got to hold the baby tiger. It fantastic to see the joy on her face. Also visit the convenience store at this world renowned park and pick a puzzle or a momento for your little one or just grab a bite at the Lakeside Cafe, inundated by graceful flamingos, and overlooking the beautiful Flamingo lake.

This Parrot Jungle Island is fairly new and in a new location. I have gone now about 3 times and it is nice but not as nice as the old location. The old location used to make you feel like you were in a tropical rainforest. This one is really out in the open but has wonderful views of the city, cruise ships, etc. The entrance fee is a little expensive.

I just visited the Parrot Jungle Island after reading about the "new" theme park. I felt that there were not enough attractions. Most of the "shows" were not happening. There is nowhere to go for shade or a/c to get a little break from the heat. There were not enough activities for the kids. It seems that it is trying to compare to the big themeparks and having a little trouble doing so.
