What do you get when you combine a tasteless bun; a cheap, greasy, fatty hot dog; plastic-like cheese and several other low-grade, questionable ingredients? A Dogma Dog! I've had better hot dogs at the elementary school cafeteria. If want to keep down your lunch, try some other place!
Pros: Looks good from the outside
Cons: Quality of food, value for the money

This a a great local niche food outfit. They have a couple of locations, but I am only familiar with this one. In addition to the all beef dogs, they now offer turkey dogs - which taste great. My personal favorite is the Pomodorro, which adds tomatoes and cheese. Their outdoor dining (plenty of shade awning and umbrellas) is also furry dog friendly.

This is probably the best hot dog joint in town. A quality, all-beef National Deli frankfurter, browned on an iron grill-top, is served on a poppy-seed Vienna Beef bun. I like my hot dogs with a good grill mark on them; no problems when I asked for well-done.
The fries are not perfect - they are not hand cut from fresh potatoes, but they are double-fried the right way, so that surface crispness contrasts with a creamy potato interior. Although slightly pricey, the onion rings were very good. The crispy golden exterior hides a real, juicy, whole-onion interior.
The only thing I am not fond of is the chili sauce. This is not chili, like you would get in a diner, but the hot dog condiment popular in some parts of the country, also known as "Texas sauce", or "Coney sauce". Some folks prefer it, just not me. I cannot recommend it, but you may like it.
The core of their menu is grilled hot dogs and grilled chicken breasts. They have a lot of fresh ingredients to put on the hot dogs, and they will combine them with lettuce to make salads, or stick them in a tortilla to make a "wrap". A turkey dog or a veggie dog can be substituted. Although the menu claims that "all toppings and sauces are prepared on the premises using only the freshest ingredients", I saw cans of Sabrett Onion Sauce through a window (which is not a bad thing - Sabrett is top-notch). I'm sure they do not make their sauerkraut!
The hot dog menu lists 15 named combinations, and a corn dog. A basic 'dog with choice of mustard, ketchup, relish and chopped onions is $3.15. The top-of-the-line Burrito Dog has two 'dogs, chili, grilled bacon, yellow mustard chopped onions, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, wrapped in a flour tortilla, and grilled, for $5.95. The fries were $2.60, and the onion rings were $2.95. A fountain soda, with free refills, is $1.90. Beers are $3.50. A dog + side + beverage combo gets a $0.75 discount.
A basic lunch of a dog, fries and a soda comes to $6.90.
Pros: Good sidewalk ambiance, quality kosher-style all beef dog, cooked right; double-fried french-fries, good poppy seed bun.
Cons: So-so chili sauce.

It's nice to have a veggie dog while dining with my carnivorous family + friends. Yummmm, my menu favorites are the Cali (senza bacon), Home-style Potato Chips and Fresh Mint Lemonade. Have also used Dogma as a caterer, food is hot, and well presented, staff are professional and fun.
Pros: ambience, parking

Being from Chicago, I have a true affinity and appreciation for hot dogs. A good friend recommended that I visit Dogma last week when I was in Miami. I can honestly say that Dogma is hands down the best hot dog joint I have ever visited. They have completely reinvented the hot dog experience -- both the food and the atmosphere are completely refreshing. It's menu is not only creative, but absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend everyone visit Dogma while in Miami. I hope their concept comes to Chicago.
Pros: Cool Atomosphere, great food

As an original New Yorker and Yankees fan, I've eaten a lot of dogs in ballparks and other venues all over the country. I happened upon this little gem of a restaurant about 2 years ago after hearing raves from all my buddies and they were on the on the money. Late night or lunchtime or anytime the place is open you can have one of the tastiest hot dogs in the country. The cool North Miami staff serves them up lickety-split and you can tell this place rocks because you got locals mixing with touristas. Awesome dogs, and a great outdoor atmosphere. I make it a point to eat at least one meal here every time I'm in Miami. In fact I'm craving their chili dog right now. 5+ stars.

This place has something for everyone.....a regular guy who just wants a beef hot dog, a health conscious person can order a turkey dog and for the vegetarians out there, they also offer veggie dogs!

OVERPRICED WARM HOT DOGS!!! Funny thing is they looked overcooked. And this staff is either lazy or they are rude.I dunno. I just came from a testing at another restaraunt on Collins and 65th Street called Muncheez... They had a funky hot dog they wanna put out.. It's deep fried with some crazy mustard relish.. I though it was gonna be gross but let me tell you. Don't let your eyes fool ya. This was the best tasting thing (it was crazy lookin) I ever had.. These guys are from somewhere up North of the states cause that menu they got was just to good to be true.. I can't wait till they open.Kiss the South Beach Diet goodbye!
Pros: It was a nice looking stand alone hot dog stand.
Cons: Unhappy looking people werkin there.Kinda too expensive.Poorly cooked dogs.
