The atmosphere is very nice and relaxed and the staff very attentive. They also feature an outdoor dining patio. They are very close to the FIU north campus on Biscayne Blvd.

Their Sweet Potato fries are spectacular and their wine selection is offers a wide range of choices to fit your different moods. They also have a full liquor license in case you need something a bit stronger... The place is usually pretty busy so I recommend that you make a reservation if possible although if you show up, the wait is usually not that long. I let my son choose a restaurant for his high school graduation and he chose Scorch since he had been there before. I had never been so was a little nervous but I did not need to be. It was GREAT! We took 16 people, from children to people in their 80's from all different countries. Everyone found someting they loved. I had the seared tuna - fabulous! My son and husband had the "Scorch Steak" which they loved but was so big they each took some home. They allowed us to bring our own cakes and did not complain when I brought 3 different cakes and graciously served them without any problem. Our waiters were wonderful - professional, made us feel at home. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. They also have a nice wine list and interesting beers. Pros: steaks, fish, gracious service

She was right on. My boyfriend had the steak with (real)mashed potatoes and I hade the fish special. Mama Mia! What a treat. Everything was perfect. Good service, delicious food and tereffic prices. Warning-don't be tempted to go next door to Dairy Queeen. It isn't worth it. Better to have dessert at Scorch or wait till you get home. Even though the DQ is connected physically to Scorch it isn't worth it. Scorch has some fairly good desserts. Otherwise, wait till you get home. Pros: Fresh Innovative Food, Nice Atmosphere, Great Prices Cons: None

That's such a nice touuch, and we really appreciated his interest. The food is fresh and tasty. The Scorch salad, Scorch rice and fresh fish are some of the best choices. But if you really want a deal have a pitcher of Sangria for only $7. It's a great deal, even though they could jazz it up a bit. It's a little too sweet and bland- How about some Brandy to give it a kick? Service is pretty good and prices are very fair. All in all, a good time was had by all! Pros: Fresh Food, Attentive Owner
