Okay I gotta admit I was a little put off by the venue...it took me a few visits to really warm up to the place. But I love the panang and massaman curry chicken. And Thai Donuts. Great for pick up! They also offer sushi which I've had and was surprisingly good. And the people remember me so that's a nice touch. They love to fill up your water but are kinda stingy w. the rice. You have to ask to have rice to go w. your leftovers as they only serve you rice separately as you need it. Great rice and always fresh, I suppose, but really annoying if I forget to ask!
Pros: Great Food Inexpensive
Cons: Atmosphere Venue not so great

THE SUSHI AND THAI MENUS ARE EXCEPTIONAL; THERE ARE CULINARY DELIGHTS FOR ANY AVID ASIAN FOOD LOVER... NOT ONLY IS THE FOOD FRESH & SUCCULENT, BUT THE ATMOSPHERE IS HIP & INVITING. MOON THAI HAS A PLETHORA OF DELICIOUS DINING OPTIONS... I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY SOMEONE WOULD GIVE THIS UNIQUE DINING EXPERIENCE A NEGATIVE REVIEW.

Fresh meal. My friends and me experienced a healthy feeling when walking out of this restaurant. I immediately began to talk about our meal with my wife all the way home. I highly recommend this establishment for its food, fun atmosphere, great service and clean surroundings. I most surly will be visiting and reordering The Georgie Roll (finger licking) and Pad Thai which I ordered with little oil.
Pros: all good

I am an avid sushi eater and have tried just about every Japanese restaurant since they first started appearing in Miami back in the late 70's. What I can tell you about Moon, is that the quality and freshness is bar-none the best in town. "Back in the day" I considered Kampai in South Miami (no longer around) to be the best... now when it comes to atomosphere, great food and good looking people, Moon is where I go. Because of the volume of seafood they move, it is very common to see their chefs cutting up a fresh 30, 40, 50 pund tuna and or other fresh fish. I frequent one moon's restaurants at least two times a week and I guaantee that you will leave very satisfied. Oh; did I mention the good looking people?

First off, I have NEVER seen a restaurant that is both Japanese and Thai... but Moon Thai pulls it off! They actually have two separate menus and a sushi bar, and serve up everything that those two cuisines would normally have. I had the pad thai dish with shrimp and chicken, thai dumplings, miso soup, and a crunchy shrimp roll. Everything was full of flavor and served with a thoughtful appearance -- not just sloshed out on a plate. Go to Moon Thai if you want reasonably priced, DELICIOUS, Thai and/or Japanese food. The inside of the restaurant is well-decorated and there are two large rooms of seating. It's easy to find on US-1 near UMiami, too.
Pros: Location, Service, Food, Value, Patio seating
Cons: Parking

So far the sushi has been fresh and if you aim for the sushi meals you can get a fair amount for the buck. Thai also taste pretty good, but slightly pricier... after living in NYC and Chi town for some time I'm just used to getting good thai for a fraction of the price (oh well). The wait staff has really been the most inconsistant aspect of this restaurant... sometimes their good, sometimes their just plain pathetic.
Pros: Fresh sushi
Cons: Expensive Thai
