Nunzio's Ristorante is one of the best italian restaurants i have gone to so far! In the City of Miami this should be a highly recognized restaurant and be made famous for it's delicious cuisine and their original dessert recipe called Zuppetta which is superb!!!! They also make a nice Bruschetta for the antipasto which prepares you for the actual entree that will knock your socks off! The decor and tables are nice, clean & proper! They also have tons of Family photos hanging from the wall which gives off a sweet family ambience in the restaurant. Bring your family here because i totally recommend it and i guarantee your family will have fun and eat well here! :)
Pros: Italian Food is amazing, Desserts are divine and the ambience is family-oriented!
Cons: I did not find any bad things with this establishment.

After my second attempt at eating at Nunzio's, I finally gave up and I feel the need to write something about this place. Nunzio's very Italian and intimate setting is a very attracting feature to the restaurant, however due to what seem like budget cuts or supply issues the entrees here are very sparse and very low in quality.
One thing that however is not sparse are its very hearty prices and laughable bread and salad. What I got was a plain 8 inch loaf of crunchy white bread with some butter and Parmesan cheese powder (to give it that Italian zest?). No olive oil or ground pepper will be found here. The salads are so small they are insulting; a handful of pieces of lettuce with a tomato and some vinaigrette.
As for the entree itself, it left much to be yearned for. To keep it simple, one of the main ingredients was supposed to be ground beef and I spent some time scavenging my pasta to find any evidence of it! The lack of ground parmesan that should have been offered to top my plate was the least of the problems.
At the end I wondered why the entree was $15+ yet worth less than a cheap pizza? For a "four star" restaurant Nunzio's is not worth any of your money, however if you do go, I caution you that soon enough they may begin to charge for water, and also hire "Chef Boyardee" as their main cook.
Pros: The setting of the establishment is cozy, worth taking a photograph perhaps?
Cons: The entire fact that it is a restaurant. I feel Mr. Nunzio should seriously think about a new cooking staff.

My ultimate favorite restaurant in Miami....from the staff to the food there is no comparrison to any other Italian restaurant in Miami! the only dissapointment is that they leave every summer to Italy...always the first customer when August comes along!
Pros: Food Service
Cons: its a small place so it gets full quickly in the evening so get there early!

I wrote the below review back in 2007. As you can see, I wasn't overly impressed then, but had eaten some pretty good dishes. Unfortunately, the quality has steadily gotten worse with time. I think it may be time to close this one down.
I ordered an antipasto for four and was served a heaping bowl of iceberg lettuce with 3 or 4 slices of subway quality salami and a few slices of subway quality cheese. The meatball sandwich was good, but for close to $10 your better off getting an italian sub at subway. I will not waste my time or money on this restaurant again.
--------2007------"This is a small family owned restaurant that has been in business for several years now. The pizza and pasta dishes are dellicious. However, if your looking for authentic Italian food, this is not the place. The menu features typical americanized cuisine(pizza, lasagna, meat parmigiana). No real steak or seafood entrees to choose from. The salad offered is one typically seen at a cuban restaurant... chopped iceberg lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and sliced onions tossed in olive oil & vinegar on a small plate. What's with that? Out of default, stick to the pasta w/ cheese, pizza, and bread here.
Weekends at this restaurant get crowded, so I would recommend either ordering to go or trying one of the other chain restaurants. If you want authentic...I believe it's called "SOL" at sunset place." or you could try Basilico for very good food and service for the same price as Nunzio's.
Pros: Small family restaurant setting
Cons: No variety. No fresh parmessan. Not authentic Italian. Definitely not the best Italian in Miami

I love this place!! I come here at least once every 2 weeks. It is a mom and pop place with a great family feel for the place. They have family pictures everywhere! You feel right at home. They have the best dishes...I love the lasagna, tortalini, and definitely their thin crust pizzas. I would recommend this to any person or family...good for larger parties and romantic for couples. Their wine selection is also delicious. Get there early on Friday nights...it gets packed and the wait is longer...they don't accept reservations...but it's ok because it's worth the wait! On friday nights I usually order take out, and it's just as good! If you haven't been to Nunzios...you don't know what you're missing!!!!
Pros: Everything is dilicious and taste never changes...you always know what you're going to get.
Cons: Wait is longer on weekend nights...you usually find that everywhere!

This is my favorite italian restaurant in Miami by a long shot! The ambiance and atmosphere is great, very familiar, it feels like one has been invited to dinner at a italian family's home, or in my case it feels like eating at "nona's" house with the whole family. The music is really upbeat as well the bathroom is very clean.
The food is unbelieavable, I have yet to try something in the menu I don't love. Service is great, and the prices are incredibly low! No matter where in Miami you are, you owe it to yourself to go to Nunzio's.
If I don't eat there I take out, but I stop by at least once or twice a week. One always leaves Nunzio's satisfied and in a good mood. This family loves their restaurant and it comes through in the treatment, food, decoration and maintenance of the place.
Pros: Great food, Price, Atmosphere
