Store has about 30 years worth of comics and memorabilia, Almost anything imaginable, prices are reasonable, this is definately the place to spend some time in and find some great items. Its a bit messy since it its packed front to back with merch, which to me is great since im tired of walking into shops around Miami that have like 100 items in inventory, and parking can be a pain, but well worth taking an hour and shopping there.

Books and Books is the best independent bookseller in the Miami area. The Coral Gables location is a well-known hotspot for lectures, readings, and book-signings from favorite local authors, as well as nationally-renowned writers and speakers. You can usually order or reserve a signed copy of a book, even if you are unable to attend the signing event.

Barnes and Noble does a good job at keeping a nice balance of books and movies in stock at their stores. It can be difficult for a popular store to carry titles that are not in the top sellers but they have been able to keep a good mix in order to have a nice variety of items. Besides books they have quite a good selection of movie titles including some hard to find classic and foreign titles as well as a nice variety of Jazz and Classical music titles to keep aficionados of those genres happy. They also always have a nice selection of books on sale or on clearance so it can be a pleasant place to pick up a quick gift or to look for a cheap quick read. Their magazine selection is also quite extensive and carries some of the more specialized titles. Overall not a bad place to shop (or stop in at the cafe, most of the B & N in South Florida have a Starbuck's inside)

I was looking for several good Spanish novels to read, and I had heard of La Moderna Poesia and decided to visit myself and see their selection of Spanish novels. As soon as I arrived I was overcome with delight, so beautifully decorated, such a great ambiance. I was left in wonder, as I walke down aisles and aisles of books, most of them appealed to me, I was unsure of which ones to picked. They offered instant customer service, and asked me if I were looking for something specific and they helped me find those novels that I was looking for. The prices were also good, maybe even cheaper than most bookstores. I would highly recommend to those looking for Spanish books to stop by.

I am an avid reader so, when I happen to find the bookstore tucked in a small strip mall off N. Kendall Drive, I was in heaven. You are able to buy, sell and trade books. Their policies for trading and selling your books are excellent. I am able to bring in my used books and receive credit which I can use to obtain other books in the store. When I started back to school, I decided not to pay the high price for the books at the college bookstore, but see if I could find them used at a much cheaper price (even the college bookstore's used book price is much higher). I wasn't able to find all the books I needed for my classes, but the staff made a call to the other location and was able to track down 2 out of the 4 books I needed. The staff took my name and telephone number and actually called me several weeks later to check and see if I still needed the books. The staff is knowledgeable and ready to lend a hand in your search for a particular book.

The Virgin Megastore in South Miami’s Sunset Place definitely has a huge selection of music and movies to choose from. What makes this place stand apart from some of the other music stores is the place’s sheer size. This is a two story store that has a lot to offer. There are lots of listening stations you can go to in order to listen to a cd before you buy it and there are lots of genres of music covered here ranging from your standard pop to hardcore punk to all sorts of sub genres of electronica to show tunes the store has something for you musical tastes. But the store not only has a good music selection but the second floor has a great movie selection of movies. They have a fairly large collection of foreign and classic films and have enough in stock to keep the serious film buffs out there content. There are lots of DVD box sets as well to entice the DVD fanatics out there to complete their collections. Definitely check out this store out not only for the music but for the DVD selections as well.

This is my favorite book store. I go there to eat the tasty food in the cafe just as much as I go to buy books. The emplyees go above and beyond to help you find what your looking for and the service in the cafe is always pleasant. I also have never not found the book that I was looking for out of stock.

I visited Read Freer Book Store, because I'm a complete bookworm and I cant get enough of books, I never get tired of reading them. I found that this bookstore provided it's customers with a wide selection of books to choose from. I bought about 10 used books in just one visit, these books were all interesting and intriguing. I also feel I got a great deal, the books were used, but very cheap, much cheaper than going to a regular bookstore and buying them new. I LOVED this place. The employees were very nice and offered great service.
