I have been shopping at Fiber Factory for years. The people who work there are wonderful and I have enjoyed every experience there. They are always helping new knitters, experienced knitters with new problems and I've even seen customers who have brought in valued old knits to be repaired. Their selection is wonderful and if you need something you don't see, they'll be happy to get it for you!

The Fiber Factory is now in its new location, 1 block west of the original store. 216 W Main St, Mesa. Wide variety of yarn & colors to choose from. Lots of specialty yarn: bamboo, super-fancy trailers, and lots more. This store offers a lot more than yarn: spinning supplies including fiber & the wheels to spin it! I have taken my kids to the store, and had no problem. The staff seemed fine with them being there. Sign up for their newsletter. They offer a lot of classes on many fiber arts including knit, crochet, weaving, spinning, the list goes on. Even summer classes for kids.

For someone that does a lot of lacing, knitting and crocheting, this place is total sensory overload!!! You can spend a whole day in there just browsing and looking.... touching and drooling over all of the yarns. They have a really nice selection of high quality yarns - including my favorite! Compared to what I was used to seeing when I lived out of state, their prices seem very reasonable. If you can, try to not park in the timed parking and take your time to browse through their library!!!! They have a really nice cushy couch to curl up on too. The service that I got was amazing! I went there with a friend and she ended up spending a small fortune... but I could only afford a small $6 book - but even though our purchases were so different, the service was exactly the same. The shop also had an incredible selection of classes! You can easily spend a small fortune in this store, so make sure you leave the ATM and credit cards at home and only bring what you want to spend in cash. :-) :-) So many temptation... so much fun... and so little time to do it all! :-)

Great selection of books and patterns. Very good selection of yarn and accesories. This is still the Yarn Store (in capital letters) in Mesa. However, they are not happy with children in the store. Even well-behaved children. They have a basket of dirty toys in the corner of their library and curtly direct anyone with children over there. I wouldn't let my children play with them, though. It's much easier to have her help me by holding the yarn I'm planning on buying. Most days, that just gets me a lot of disapproving looks. Still, this place has everything from beaded stitch markers to obscure european pattern books to looms to spinning wheels to mordants and dyes. This is the place to go when you can't find what you need elsewhere. But the staff's attitude still keeps me looking elsewhere first. Also, the prices are a bit higher than at the other local yarn shops. PROS: Selection CONS: Staff, prices

For both the novice and the pro, Fiber Factory has a great selection of yarn. In addition to having most anything you could ask for, the staff are incredibly helpful. They are there to answer any questions you may have and are great at offering advice. I haven't attended a class, yet, but I do hear that they have a great teaching method and are pretty knowledgeable. Just don't go on a Monday, they won't be there!!

The Fiber Factory has one of the largest selections of yarn in all of Arizona. They also have a variety of crocheting and knitting classes, all taught by people who truly know what they are doing. I love taking a trip to this store! They are closed on Sundays and Mondays, but are open from 10-5:30 on other days.
