Awesome place for a hamburger. All the other food is quite good as well. Interestingly, I'm told that the details field here must be between 100 and 2000 characters. Not sure why.

This is a great spot to head after your softball game in the summer. Unfortunately, everyone has this idea and it can get pretty crowded during the summer nights. The food is fine. The pizza is yummy. I like the chicken wings (spicy!), and the burgers are always good. The beer is reasonable. They've got TVs to watch the games and usually have a variety of things on (baseball, tennis, etc.). Fun spot I'd highly recommend.

Extremely popular and seemingly always crowded, the Oasis is a great place to dine casually with a group if you're not in too much of a hurry.
Bring a sweater if you're going to eat on the patio most times of the year; it can get chilly in a hurry and they don't always turn on the heaters. I've never "gotten" the idea behind big-screen outdoor TVs. Relax and have a good time with your friends.
Parking can be iffy.

the patio here is one of the best.
the tv's need to be upgraded, but a good selection of beers, plenty of peanuts, and good pizza and burgers.

This is a true local establishment, it has been around for many years (at least 30 to my knowledge) and is one of the few places you can go enjoy a beer and a burger with your family. It always has a nice mix of regulars, families, students, and other local people. There is an outside patio where you can watch sports on two huge televisions. The food is great - you can get burgers, hot wings (my favorite), or pizza. They also have a great range of beers, and it's the only place around Palo Alto I've seen 24 oz bottles of coors or bud. Always a great place to go.

I have gone to the Oasis for their burgers and atmosphere since I was a little girl! I first visited it probably in the mid '70's and it is one of my favorite spots I must go to every time I am in the bay area. Mid - seventies, hippie daddy and his friends would take me there. I will always treasure the memories, and will always come back for those wonderful greasy old fashioned burgers, pinball, great wooden booths where I carved my initials so many times. Thanks for the treasured times between Daddy and daughter!
Pros: funky, casual, relaxing
Cons: needs more parking

Went to the Oasis to catch a World Series Game. What a mistake and waste of time. We missed 2 innings on the drive home. 2 Little TV's at the bar and one SMALLER one for the whole eating area to share and NO volume. You couldn't hear a thing. AND to top it off the worst hot dog with sauerkraut I've ever tasted and a skimpy, tasteless burger for my friend. This place is a definite zero as a sports bar. Kinda cute as a place to enjoy a beer if you're planning on eating elsewhere, though.
