My two girls took ballet classes at MPAD, the oldest for 5 years (ages 2 - 7) and the youngest for 3 years (ages 2-5). The girls enjoyed their classes and performing in June. However, my oldest decided she really wanted to do really ballet (vs dancing with wands and scarfs and talking into a microphone) so we switched to a studio aligned with a professional ballet group (she wanted to be in the Nutcracker). I believe one of the reasons it was difficult for them to learn proper ballet technique was everyone of their classes had 25 children in each class which is way too many.

My husband and I took dance lessons a few weeks before our wedding. the dance teachers at Menlo Park Academy of dance were highly recommened so we decided to give them a try. They were absolutely wonderful. It was worth it just be in teh class, even though our class sixe was about 20. But I think it made it more fun with more people. We were able to help each other out. This dance studio is highly recommended. We are cven thinking about going back to learn different dances. And parking is really easy too.

This is a studio with wonderful teachers. And lately they have been getting some publicity. Even thought they are a tiny dancwe studio they have been in magazines and newspapers. A couple of their dancers made it into some magazines too because of their wonder work during competition. This studio participates in competition and they win all sorts of prizes. When you go inside you see their dozens of trophies. But the problem is is that for the oast couple of year the studio has gotten incredibly crowded! and it just keeps growing!

This is a truly great studio. The thing that truly makes it great is the instructors. The best instruction is in jazz and ballet. It is exceptional. The teachers are so talented and experienced. They aren't soft, they don't let you get away with things and really pressure you to succeed because they really want you too. The studio can ballet, jazz, tap, ballroom, lyrical, stretch and flex and even swimg classes! The classes are really crowded. You can have 24 students in a single class, that would not be surprising for the ballet classes. The studios can be a little bigger, one especially is tiny. They also do competition in almost all of their fields. The dancers have won so many titles, even in nationals in Las Vegas.

This is a really good studio. There is a recomendation for that. One of the things I don't like about it is that it is REALLY crowded. It is not surprising if your class has 24 people in it, it happens a lot actually. But it is actually worth it because of the teachers. The instruction in ballet and jazz is really the best. They also don't lack in tap, lyrical, ballroom and now even swing! They don't have air conditioning which can be really hard in the summer. Parking is not a problem, park on the public parking lot right next to it.
PROS: really good instruction
CONS: WAY too many people
