I used to take dance classes from Mary from 1991-1996 and loved every moment of it. It was a breathe of fresh air after going to Miss Louise School of Dance. You can actually progress in levels. I always found the music fun and nothing horrible about it.

Lots to do and to look at. They have plenty of antiques and the place is huge and the prices are pretty cheap. They have pretty much all antiques. No help finding things, but that's find with me some of you may be put off by that. Otherwise reminds me of giant flea market indoors. if you have ever been to the flea market in the armory then it is kinda just like Main Antique mall. They have a great place go and check it out. I greatly encourage you.

We have eaten at Shoji's several times. We enjoy the food and the chef's show. The main drawback I've found is the wait even when you have a reservation. The prices are good. I would recomend them. Get an early reservation and plan on a wait.

Upon visiting this store from the Bay Area I was surprised at the assortment of items that are so current and incredibly hip. This store definitely has it's finger on the pulse from modern organic woods to a dash of glam. I'll be back!

More
24 Hour Fitness is a large gym located the middle of the Medford Center and is very spacious. Working out at 24 hour was usually a comfortable and energizing experience. Offered there are wide varieties of exercise equipment and personal instructors who are very adept at what they teach. The price was above what I would like to pay for a workout, but if one is serious about their exercise than it's definitely worth the money. A disturbance is the that a large portion of the gym is walled by glass - the Medford Center is usually largely populated by movie-goers and because of that it's difficult to feel at ease when first visiting this gym. Overall 24 Hour is a wonderful location to pursue fitness and health that is greatly enhanced by it's down-to-business attitude and the dedicated responses of its members.
PROS: Knowledgeable trainers, plenty of equipment, open 24 hours
CONS: Little privacy, expensive

Hot Pots is a fun place to create gifts or just a one of a kind memory with your children. Kids enjoy being able to pick out that special item to paint as well as getting to choose from a wide variety of paints and colors. The atmosphere is laid back and kid friendly. You don't need to have any artistic leanings because their staff will help you get started and will provide assistance.
Price-wise you can find something for around $10 and then it gets more expensive depending on what you want to make. One of my daughters chose a small dragon and the other chose a gecko and we paid about $11-12 for each of them. It was such a fun way to spend time together and it is something they remember and talk about fondly, so in my opinion it is well worth the money.
They are easy to find in downtown Medford. You have to watch parking though because most of the spaces nearby are 2 hour parking and it is easy to spend more than 2 hours in Hot Pots..
After you paint, staff will "fire" your creation and then it will be ready to be picked up in about 2 business days. Go, have fun!

This is a very small place but the food is excellent, affordable and they give you very large portions of it. We love Celena's chicken bento-- it is the best I have ever had. It's a kid friendly place too with kids meals.
I also happen to know that Celena and her husband (and now I can't recall his name) do quite a bit for low income people in our community as they support some of the organizations that provide extra food for people who need it. So, on top of being a superb place to eat at, you can feel good about spending money here. They are really good people.
You have to try it. She even makes teriyaki sauce from scratch and it is also the very best! Wow, just thinking about that bento makes me want to run into Medford and get some. It's THAT good!

Love this fun place..From the peanut shells on the floor to the best steaks in town, the fun decor and great help. Food is to die for and specials are great. Lunch is very cheap. Food is always prepared just perfect. They have the best hot, fresh bread in town. Wednesday loaded potato soup is the best. This is a must go to restaurant. A lot of fun.

This is by far the best sushi south of Eugene and north of Sacramento. I lived in Japan for 4 years and this is the real deal. They do tone down the selection on the rotating sushi bar (ambiance) to include the most popular types, but the menu has more selections. We go at least twice a month just for sushi and occasionally we will have other items from the menu like teriyaki salmon, oyako domburi, miso, etc.... The staff is friendly and accommodating --- same people for the last 15 years though their original location was in Ashland. They even have sushi to go. Great place to take visitors and order a sushi boat (or chirashi order) just for the fun of it with some Momogawa saki.
