There are three chinese restaraunts in the Mason area, Imperial Garden continues to be our family favorite. We will eat there over all other places in the Mason area, but if we are out of town, will wait to get into town rather than stop at another chinese restaurant. Our family has several different favorites but General Tso's chicken is my favorite. Though I have had it at different places, I really like the way it is prepared at Imperial Garden. They also have buffet. take-out (my personal favorite), and catering.
Pros: Rarely busy, take-out buffet and special orders
Cons: We don't have enough money to eat there as much as we would like.

Darb's is a great local hangout. Everyone seems to know everyone here. It has a rustic atmosphere and is a great meeting place for friends. Darb's has great food and nightly specials. The salads are huge and the mexican food is delicious! It is a little on the smoky side, but it is a bar too so that is to be expected! If you are in the mood for good bar food this is the place to go!

MTS Lawn and Landscaping in Mason is a well kept secret for local landscaper businesses. We have had mowing, tree and snow removal done by them so far and they were great. They were very professional, on-time, and cleaned up any debris that were left. Their prices were the same, if not lower, than any other local landscaper, but they were able to have someone out within 3 days of when we call, instead of the 7-10 days that the others had said. We are definitely going to be calling them again this spring for all our mowing and landscape decor needs.

Merindorf Meats in Mason is a great place to pick up all the meat for your next cookout or event. The quality is so much better than normal grocery store meat. Also, you can find a wider variety of choice cuts and meats in various sizes available for purchase. They are at an easy location to find and the customer service is excellent.

Mike's Firehouse Grill in Mason is a great family restaraunt. They have a wonderful atmosphere that is great for all ages. They have a wide variety of selections on their menu and everything that I have eaten there has been absolutely delicious. This restaraunt offers a different alternative than your normal family chain restaurants and provides just as good or better meals.

The Cayenne Grille in Mason is literally a hole in the wall restaurant that offers excellent food in a very unique atmosphere. This restaurants décor consists of a unique variety of antiques and photographs. The food they offer is delicious with some of their desserts tasting absolutely amazing. The only downside is the small space that it occupies. However, they do offer their menu items as take-out and regardless, this place is definitely worth fighting the crowds for.

I worked for Pizza Hut at one time for 3 years and let me tell you, we all would have been fired had we acted the way this place does.
A family of four (one being a baby) goes infor dinner at 5:30 on a Tuesday night. The only other table is another family of 4 that had already been partially served (at least drinks). There are 6 employees working, including the manager.
Finally get seated, takes 5 minutes to get a highchair. The family is seated, look through the menus. Kids color, although the baby get increasingly fussy as the time goes on an NO WAITRESS to take the order.
This family waited 17 minutes in a NON BUSY restaurant (they could see some of the staff standing around laughing and joking) before they decided to get up and go somewhere else. After they took another 5 minutes to pack up the diaper bag, gets coats on and leave, the waitress decides to come over and ask why they are leaving.
You decide.
PROS: NONE
CONS: UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF, disgraceful waiting time
